Let's be honest, it is also a GREAT resource for us, too! I love this site. I have used it for years and it just keeps getting better. It is something I am also constantly recommending it to my students for research assignments that need citations.

This is an amazing resource for a science teacher like myself! I get the dreaded "why do I have to know this?" question far to often. This seems like a great way of naturally answering that. I am definitely an encourage of questioning so have a bank of resources for how to answer "why must we learn this?" is a huge help!

I laugh at the idea of somebody disagreeing with this resource. I am totally going to use this! I like to incorporate online discussion during movies that I should in my science classroom. One issue I have run into is how to get the conversation to flow and stay on topic. Problem solved! This is definitely a mix of teacher and student usability depending on how you define those 2 types of usage, but I think creation on the part of a student could take place with thi resource as well. Great find!

We have used Google Hangouts to video chat with up to three other classes at one time. We used it mostly with the Global Read Aloud. It was great and easy to use.

PowToon offers a great way to make PowerPoint presentations more engaging offering new graphics and a slick interface that's easy for users to dabble with.

This is a way to make presentations without the boring slides that seem to be the norm. This is visually pleasing in the learning environment.

This allows teachers to hold a forum. Students can reply with audio or text to a question. They can even draw on the existing image to make a point. Others in the group can then respond in turn.

As you could tell from our class using it, I think this would be great for small group discussions versus the whole class. I could see this being used efficiently for a group presentation that the students would create and then have another group comment on the voice thread for pointers on what to consider, etc. This resource is definitely both uses depending on how you set it up whether it is a teacher forum or a student led forum.

Slideshare is a great way to share presentations….when you have the internet at your presentation site that is.

Remind101 is a great text messaging tool to update students and parents on classroom assignments.

Yes I do, my parents love it. I used to do more with a class website, but never had anyone read it. I figured, everyone now a days has cellphones I'd just send them messages that way. It's all anonymous so my personal info is safe. I just send quick messages about what's due or coming up.

I've used this for a year. I have to say that the parents in my room are in love with it. I text out homework daily and misc. announcements.

This site allows teachers to have an organized list of brain breaks for kids. The site is interactive and kids choose an avatar that builds as they do more activities.

I am on the Blue Zone Committee for the building, and this looks like a valuable resource for me. Brain Breaks are very useful with 4th graders. Have you tried looking up "Just Dance" Videos on Youtube? This seems like a great resource Abby. I've been trying to find Twitter replacements, since our district blocks Twitter and most other social media sites. Do you have experience using this? I'd love to know more.

Although my district does not block Twitter, I see this as a great tool for lower elementary kids.
