On 15 December 2005, more than 10 million Iraqi citizens thronged to the voting pools to elect a new Iraqi Parliament from which a national government will be emanated after long years of the democracy's absence in the former regime of Saddam Husayn This participation confirmed that the Iraqi citizens are ready for democracy, unlike what others circulate that the Iraqi population is far from democracy. This experiment proved the genuineness of Iraqi people and showed their unity between its religious and ethnic components. It was a very obvious message written by all Iraqis to the terrorist powers which came from out side the borders , that they are able to draw the picture of their future by their own hands and by the help of the good , faithful and honest Iraqis, Regardless of religion, nationality or sect. The role of your sons in the security services, such as ours, was to protect the electors from the terrorist operations, to ensure the freedom of elections, and to monitor the lurking people who are against this unique democracy in the Middle East. Within these democratic celebrations, we expect Iraq will be a secure and peaceful country, able to spread the light of democracy, to enlighten the dark corners which this country has struggled through these passed eras, looking forward to a new journey to build and construct our country Iraq. Our service will be the sure hand to protect the new democracy in Iraq, among other security services, and we will be the sleepless eyes to protect all Iraqis, without exception, to serve the expectations of this great population. Save the life of Muslim Shia in Iraq from Saudi terrorists and condumn the Saudi-Wahhabist terrorism in Iraq Osama Al Najafi It is not secret to indicate that most terrorism practised in Iraq is originated from the terrorists belongs to Wahhabism religious sect, whether they are belonging to the well-known organization Al Qaida or to another agendas benefited from the chaotic situation in Iraq. It however, should be clearly known that Islam as a religion calls for peace and good treatment to all humans, irrespective of their religion, ethnicity or sex. Mercy and compassion must be practised by a Muslim. And the well-know narrative or Hadith of prophet of Islam Muhammed (pbh) say that Give mercy to anything in this earth so that Allah (God) should give mercy to you. Any act that transgress or contradict these Islamic foundations must not be interpreted as being Islamic. However, Islam is being misused by those Al Qaida or Taliban terrorists so as to recruit more followers for their criminal agenda. At the tip of this pyramid sits the Wahhabi sect or so-called Wahhabism. Wahhabism is the official religious sect of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia finance, patronize and guide the Wahhabi movement. They claim that it is the pure Islam. But in fact there have been written tens of books and hundreds of essays that refute the argument that Wahhabism proceeds from Islamic principles. These books has been written by Islamic authorities from both schools of Islam, mainly Sunni and Shia. Many reports and evidence indicate the Saudi Arabia, and especially the Royal family is directly involved in performing massacres against Muslim Shia in Iraq as well as Christians. Therefore, we call for condemning the Wahhabism as a terrorist movement against humanity in the same way as done before to Nazism and Fascism. About the Iraq Body Count project Iraq Body Count (IBC) records the violent civilian deaths that have resulted from the 2003 military intervention in Iraq. Its public database includes deaths caused by US-led coalition forces and paramilitary or criminal attacks by others. IBC's documentary evidence is drawn from crosschecked media reports of violent events leading to the death of civilians, or of bodies being found, and is supplemented by the careful review and integration of hospital, morgue, NGO and official figures. Systematically extracted details about deadly incidents and the individuals killed in them are stored with every entry in the database. The minimum details always extracted are the number killed, where, and when. Confusion about the numbers produced by the project can be avoided by bearing in mind that: IBC's figures are not 'estimates' but a record of actual, documented deaths. IBC records solely violent deaths. IBC records solely civilian (strictly, 'non-combatant') deaths. IBC's figures are constantly updated and revised as new data comes in, and frequent consultation is advised. IBC builds on innovative uses of new technologies without which this citizens' initiative would be impossible. The project was founded in January 2003 by volunteers from the UK and USA who felt a responsibility to ensure that the human consequences of military intervention in Iraq were not neglected. دبي- جمعة عكاش سجلت جلسات المؤتمر الثاني للأعمال والاستثمار في العراق -الذي عقد في القاهرة، واختتم أعماله منذ يومين- العديد من القضايا، لعل أبرزها كان الإعلان العراقي عن توفير البلاد مليون فرصة عمل للمصريين، والدعوة المصرية لتعويض العمالة المصرية التي تطالب بغداد بمئات الملايين من الدولارات التي تركتها هناك بعد عام 1990. وشهد المعرض -الذي حضره وشارك فيه نحو 800 شخص من مختلف المستويات- التأكيد مجددا على وجود كم هائل من الفرص الاستثمارية، لا سيما في ميناء البصرة الكبير، وقلب بغداد في المنطقة الخضراء، وهما مشروعان تبلغ تكاليفهما الاستثمارية نحو 22 مليار دولار. الحاجة لاستثمارات خارجية وكان وزير المالية العراقي المشارك في الحدث -باقر جبر الزبيدي- قال الجمعة للصحفيين: إن 18 مليار دولار من ميزانية العراق لهذا العام البالغة 48 ونصف مليار دولار ستخصص لمشاريع الاستثمار، إضافة إلى 5 مليارات دولار هي حجم الاستثمارات المالية المدورة من السنة الماضية. ووجه الزبيدي الدعوة للمستثمرين المصريين والعرب والأجانب إلى الإسهام في إعادة إعمار العراق، إما من خلال حجم الأموال الاستثمارية الكبيرة التي خصصت للمحافظات والوزارات، أو من خلال الاستثمار المباشر مع المحافظات". وأقيم المؤتمر الثاني للأعما�

دعا رئيس الحكومة العراقية نوري المالكي المسيحيين والشبك والأيزيديين إلى حث أبنائهم بالانخراط في القوات المسلحة العراقية، وذلك وفقا لتقرير صحفي صدر السبت 17-5-2008. وذكر التقرير الصحفي الصادر عن الدائرة الإعلامية لمجلس الوزراء أن المالكي اجتمع أمس الجمعة بعدد من أبناء الطائفة المسيحية في الموصل وأبلغهم حرص الحكومة العراقية على ضرورة أن يدخل أبناء الطوائف "المسيحيين والشبك والأيزيدية في القوات المسلحة"، وأضاف أن عملية "أم الربيعين" هدفها إنهاء معاناة أبناء الموصل، ومنهم المسيحيون الذين هم وردة من ورود حديقة الموصل المتنوعة. وقال رئيس الحكومة "إن المسيحيين عُرفوا بأنهم دعاة سلام ومحبة وقد التصقوا بأرض العراق ولم يكونوا دعاة عنف، ومن يستهدفهم يرتكب جريمة مضاعفة وسنتصدى له بقوة"، وأضاف "إن على العراقيين أن يدركوا أنهم يقاتلون اليوم أفكارا وأساليب وامتدادات البعث الذي ارتدى ثوب القاعدة، ويمني نفسه بحلم العودة الذي لن يتحقق أبدا" . وحث المالكي أبناء الطائفة المسيحية إلى التمسك بوطنهم وعدم الرضوخ للتهديد والابتزاز، وأن الحكومة ستقف إلى جانب كل من يتعرض للظلم والاضطهاد حتى تعود الأمور إلى نصابها، وتحترم الحريات الدينية ودور العبادة، ويسود القانون في جميع أنحاء العراق

سجل الدينار ارتفاعا طفيفا امام الدولار في مزاد البنك المركزي اليوم الخميس وبلغ 1199 دينارا للدولار الواحد بعدما كان امس 1200 دينارا للدولار الواحد. وانخفضت مبيعات البنك المركزي من الدولار بشكل كبير وبلغت 47 مليونا و210 الف دولار بعدما كانت امس 134 مليونا و695 الف دولار. ولم يشتر البنك المركزي اي مبلغ في مزاد اليوم. وبلغ عدد المصارف المشاركة 13 مصرفا بعدما كانت امس 15 مصرفا.

خصص مصرف الرافدين في النجف مبلغ 17 مليون دينار لمنح قروض ‏للمواطنين المشمولين بمنظومة التاكسي الموحد.‏ أكد ذلك مدير مرور محافظة النجف العقيد لؤي الياسري، مضيفا في تصريح ‏لـ"الصباح" انه يتم تسديد القرض خلال مدة خمس سنوات تعفى منها الاشهر ‏الستة الاولى، كما سيتم التأمين على السيارات من قبل شركة التأمين الوطنية ‏بنسبة 379 الف دينار سنوياً.‏ وبشأن السيارات التي ستباع ضمن مشروع منظومة التاكسي الموحد، قال ‏الياسري: بعد الاتفاق مع الشركة العامة للسيارات قامت باستيراد اربعة انواع ‏لاختيار النموذج المتفق عليه وفقاً للمواصفات المقرة من قبل مديرية المرور، ‏والانواع الاربعة هي شوفر اوبترا 2008 ، وشوفر اوميغا 2008 ، ورينو ‏فرنسية، وهونداي سعة 23 راكباً.‏ واوضح الياسري ان عدد المتقدمين للحصول على سيارة اجرة ضمن مشروع ‏منظومة التاكسي الموحد بلغ 16 الف متقدم.‏

أعلنت مديرية ماء بابل عن مباشرتها بتنفيذ (65) مشروعاً في مركز الحلة والاقضية والنواحي التابعة لها، وبكلفة نحو (110) مليار دينار. وذكر مصدر مسؤول في المحافظة ان المشاريع شملت اثني عشر مشروعاً في مركز الحلة، واربعة مشاريع في ناحية ابي غرق، وثلاثة مشاريع في ناحية الاسكندرية، واربعة مشاريع في قضاء المحاويل، واربعة مشاريع في ناحية السدة، وخمسة مشاريع في قضاء المسيب، اما ناحية الكفل فكانت حصتها من المشاريع اثني عشر مشروعاً، فيما كانت حصة ناحية الكوثر ثلاثة مشاريع ومشروعين في الهاشمية ومشروع واحد في الشوملي واخر في ناحية جرف الصخر، فضلاً عن مشروعين في ناحية النيل ومشروعين في ناحية الطليعة ومشروعين في ناحية المشروع ومشروعين آخرين في ناحية المدحتية. واضاف المصدر ان هذه المشاريع تقع ضمن الخطة الاستثمارية لعام 2008، موضحاً ان عدداً من هذه المشاريع هي قيد التسليم واخرى متوقفة لوجود العوارض .
