Pizza Hut launching Xbox 360 app that lets console owners order pizza from Xbox Live - 1 views

  •
Microsoft and Pizza Hut have partnered up to launch a pioneer app for Xbox Live that will allow users to order from the chain's menu directly through their Xbox 360. The Pizza Hut for Xbox app makes the chain's entire menu accessible to users, who can then build their own customized pizzas and place orders via Kinect motion controls, voice commands or the controller.

unofficial documentation Tesla Model S REST API - 4 views

Someone is using it to get their Model S to tweet https://twitter.com/pureamps
  •
Where are the commands for setting steering offset and accelerator pedal position? :-P
  •
Assuming the Model S does use a drive-by-wire system, it's likely separate from the computer that manages the accessory systems. It may provide some diagnostic messages ie. "I am rotated to this radian". As far as throttle control goes, if the same system that handles the accessory systems handles the cruise control system, well, good grief.

Git: Automatic Merges With Server Side Hooks (For The Win!) | Atlassian Blogs - 1 views

  •
This will be standard and easily understandable to anyone who has already been working with git for a while. If you come from a centralized, old school version control background and you are thinking of switching to Git - which I heartily recommend - you will find the topic of this post awesome, almost magical.

Video: Throwing and catching an inverted pendulum - with quadrocopters | Robohub - 1 views

  •
Two of the most challenging problems tackled with quadrocopters so far are balancing an inverted pendulum and juggling balls. My colleagues at ETH Zurich's Flying Machine Arena have now combined the two. As part of his Master thesis Dario Brescianini, student at ETH Zurich's Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control, has developed algorithms that allow quadrocopters to juggle an inverted pendulum.

Hard-Coded Bluetooth PIN Vulnerability in LIXIL Satis Toilet - 1 views

  •
inding 1: Hard-Coded Bluetooth PIN *****Credit: Daniel Crowley of Trustwave SpiderLabs CVE: CVE-2013-4866 CWE: CWE-259 The "My Satis" Android application has a hard-coded Bluetooth PIN of "0000" as can be seen in the following line of decompiled code from the application: BluetoothDevice localBluetoothDevice = BluetoothManager.getInstance().execPairing(paramString, "0000") As such, any person using the "My Satis" application can control any Satis toilet. An attacker could simply download the "My Satis" application and use it to cause the toilet to repeatedly flush, raising the water usage and therefore utility cost to its owner. Attackers could cause the unit to unexpectedly open/close the lid, activate bidet or air-dry functions, causing discomfort or distress to user.
