Mac OS X Lion includes an Auttomator action, named Text to EPUB File, that is designed to make it very easy to convert selected text or text documents into EPUB books, ideal for transferring to iPads and iPhones. Additionally, the created EPUB books can include images, MPEG audio, or MPEG video files.
Any content that your husband purchased through the iTunes Store on his Mac or through the App Store on the iPad—apps, music, TV shows, and movies--can be stored on up to five authorized computers. Those five computers can then sync to any number of iPads or iPhones.
Ideally, I would like to merge his apps with my apps. Is there any way?
First, authorize your Mac with your husband’s iTunes account name and password.
Then you’ll need to copy his iPad apps onto your computer
Next, iTunes will ask you if you want to transfer your husband’s apps into your own iTunes library.
You can then sync your iPad once again, and iTunes will ask you if you want to overwrite your iPad with your apps. This time, you can allow that to happen
"I have yet to find the perfect Digital Portfolio app that I think I would use exclusively in a Visual Arts class. Some apps can be used as graphic portfolios or as beautiful sketchbooks, others are great at sharing. Not all of the apps available are great at all of these things. I have spent a heap of time trying to find one and would be more than happy for someone to send me the name of one they are using successfully. Having said that the following are apps that I would consider using;"
"The iPad looks amazing when projected onto a large screen. The students in a 1 to 1 iPad classroom gets to see the apps at work. Have a look at the list below to see if any of these might be useful in your classroom. If you have others that should be added to this list please leave a comment with the name of the app and we will add it to the list."
handyPrint (AirPrint Activator)
handyPrint™ v3.1 is a Mac OSX application that allow you to print from your iPods, iPads and iPhones on legacy printers that do not support the AirPrint protocol. handyPrint™ is the new name for our application that used to be called “AirPrint Activator”. We have decided to rename the application to avoid using the Apple trademark ‘AirPrint™’. With the 3.1.1 release, we simply renamed the application handyPrint™.
