Top 10 Things NOT to do in a 1:1 iPad Initiative « - 10 views

"Part of the benefit of jumping forward with a 1:1 iPad deployment like we have tried is that we get the opportunity to impart knowledge to other districts looking to do a similar initiative. "As you will all be aware I have a major interest, some might say obsession with mobile applications. However one thing that has been lacking is an app that could replace/improve the assessment process that I currently use with my students. "Last year, six months after the release of the original iPad, I published an article called "My Must-Have 20 iPad Apps" in which I collected my favorite iPad applications - the ones I used and enjoyed the most - as of September 2010. One of our sources in Asia say that Apple has placed an order for a massive number of camera modules of the type that they include in the iPhone. These are inexpensive cameras, in the $10 range. And the size of the order, our source says, means they can only be used for one thing - the iPods. Update: Macrumors features two images of cases that are supposed to be designed for the upcoming iPod Touch and iPod Nano, and suggest that the next generation of said devices will indeed include a camera.
