"Opera this morning announced the milestone, and added that Opera Mini is currently the number one iPhone app in the 22 featured Apple App Stores on their site, as of 8 AM CET on Thursday. " Released on April 15, 2010.

A wonderful browser alternative (free download) for iPhone. According to Apple's download count, Opera Mini has to date been added to 1,023,380 Apple devices.For your reference: the widely anticipated Skype iPhone app was downloaded 1 million times on the first two days of availability in the App Store.

This wiki is intended to be a clearinghouse of applications, lessons ideas and experiences using the iPad in the classroom. The intention is that all apps listed have been tested and recommended by teachers using them. The Apps pages are generally created using google docs spreadsheets, feel free to update the wiki or the spreadsheets. (A link is provided on each page for the spreadsheets... at least the ones I've started working on...) At this point, as a high school science teacher, most of the apps I've recommended and investigated are geared to this level. Some can be used at any level. I invite you to add pages dedicated to your areas of interest and expertise if they are not already listed here. I would love to see a section on Literature and Language and Elementary Skills added to the wiki along with additions to any of the currently developed spreadsheets. It would also be sweet to share specific lessons or ideas for applications and activities.

Apple has proposed a standardized SIM card smaller than those it currently uses in the iPhone and iPad to be able to produce thinner devices, an Orange executive told media on Tuesday.

Moreover, Yankee Group's estimate of that number rising to $1B in just two years speaks volumes about the ways our world is changing. The presence of smart phones will grow four fold in as many years to numbers that will have everyone connected wirelessly with each other and to every content source around the world in real time.
