I want/need my iPhone (without jailbreaking it) to support video-out functionality, not just for video/movie playback but also to show my active/current screen when selecting and using different applications. According to the Apple Support Article "iPod and iPhone: TV out support," the iPhone and iPod Touch just support "TV Out" currently. "TV out" functionality is available if you own an "Apple Composite AV Cable,"

Most would agree that "A picture is worth a thousand words." Perhaps strangely, allow me to make the case that sometimes there is also value in distilling those thousand words into a scant few. This little post is a bit of practical sharing meant to point to two things: a cute little iOS application, and a few quick examples of its practical use. Screencasting software for desktop/laptops is fully developed** - users can record screens while opening and closing applications and have access to post production elements (titles, transitions, trimming, etc) all from within the software. iPad apps are not so fully developed yet - with iOS4, users can only record what is going on within the screencasting app.

Windows Marketplace plans to launch with 600 applications available for download. While it's an uphill battle to challenge the App Store, this is certainly a great start.

The saga between Google Voice, Apple and AT&T continues. Today, a chat transcript emerged that seems to pin blame on AT&T for the application being rejected from the App Store.

AT&T released its turn-by-turn GPS application, Navigator yesterday. Stop the celebrating though, there are more than a few problems.

Google's official Google Voice application for the iPhone has been rejected after six weeks.
