Spot gold had risen USD 1.15 an ounce to USD 1,463.65 by 0025 GMT, having posted its biggest weekly gain in three months last week. Pepper prices slipped lower from 38200 and closed the day at 37310. As long as prices stay above the 13 day EMA support of 37100, bullish outlook is likely to persist and could bring back short coveing rally to 37670 followed by 38000/38500 levels. MCX Gold April contract dropped sharply last week, especially on Friday and breached 30300 level and closed near 30194. The development is confirmed with the view that fall from 32454 is still in progress. Near term outlook stays bearish as long as 30840 minor resistances holds. The influential Oil World noted yesterday that China's imports of oilseeds overall faced pressure from a harvest set to fall to a multi-year low of 48m tonnes, down 2m tonnes from a year earlier and down 3.8m tonnes from two years earlier, according to media reports. London copper rose for a third session on Thursday, boosted by data that showed China's economy stabilising and a recovery in the U.S. housing sector gathering pace.
