Crude oil purchases came in light today. Global and domestic markets, crude oil is trading with mild gains. Although crude oil prices on NYMEX still remains near 10-week lows. With a gain of 0.25 per cent on MCX crude oil is trading at Rs 4965. Base metals business is extremely sluggish today. MCX Copper is trading at Rs 431, up 0.15 percent. 0.25 percent nickel, lead 0.4 per cent and 0.6 per cent have gained the lead. Aluminum and is trading flat.... Increased sales of new homes in the U.S. on the London Metal Exchange copper prices got some support. But the domestic market is the rupee has been under pressure from the metal. MCX base metals declined getting around 0.5-1 per cent. With a decline of 0.4 per cent on MCX Copper is trading at Rs 42.50. Declining demand in China has seen pressure on base metals. After the initial weakness in base metals on MCX has witnessed mixed trade. 0.1 per cent on MCX Copper is trading at Rs 429.50 with marginal gains. Nickel Zinc 0.1 per cent and 0.4 per cent has come. Today morning Nickel and Aluminum is trading slightly positive by 0.13 to 0.3 percent while other metals have retreated at LME electronic platform. Base metals on the LME apart from Aluminum traded on a positive note yesterday taking cues from upbeat global market sentiments that boosted demand. Also, decline in inventories acted as a positive factor.
