I was really, really fortunate." - For years, Holly Smith never realized that she was a victim of human trafficking. - She shared her story to Holmes College. - Smith wrote a book called Walking Prey on her experiences. - It was in 2009 when Smith got online and started doing research about survivors and organizations that help. This I when Smith realized how she had been used and exploited. - This happened to her when she was 14 years old. - Smith has just finished with middle school, Smith was trying to fit in when she was lured and manipulated into prostitution by an older man who made her feel special. - In 1992, she had become a victim of human trafficking in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and she didn't even know it.
