This article is about a police man that stopped a man with two 18 year old girls or younger in his car because he had a vehicle code violation. A few weeks prior, there was a similar situation. This is useful to my research because it tells about human trafficking in Albany NY. The driver gave officers false information. The girls were found to be reported as missing and possibly abducted from Las Vegas. The Richmond man was arrested for human trafficking and giving false information. The girls were handed over to Child Protective Services.

McGill has passed several pieces of legislation to increase the laws against human trafficking in the state. - A young woman was walking down a street in Lincoln when she was approached by a man. That man offered to take her back to his place to have a drink. The woman agreed. Once there, the man had different plans. "You're too good for Lincoln," he told her. "I'm taking you to Chicago." This, state Sen. Amanda McGill told Arlington High School students Monday, is how women and children can get wrapped up in human trafficking, and that it's happening right here in Nebraska. Luckily, McGill said, that woman was an undercover police officer, but many women and children are not so lucky.

    - This article talks about women that are forced into sex trafficking. - It says they are usually the most vulnerable in the city. - This article takes place in Durham. - It is useful to my research because it shows that the girls might have limited education, no resources for escape and are duped and then trapped into working in the sex trade. - Timea Nagy, a former sex trade worker who freed herself from that life, started Walk With Me in 2009 after realizing there were no other agencies available to help women escape that life. - She has assisted more than 280 victims in Canada and the U.S. and says Durham Regional Police have done a great job combatting sex slavery in a short period of time. - Resources for women include shelters, counseling and agencies dedicated to helping them craft new lives.
