School21: A look inside "the school of the 21st Century" - Medium - 0 views

  •
This article explores a school in London with major success. School21 is reinventing education. The school has many facets including stressing the importance of oracy. The class sizes are small and students receive individualized attention. Students sit in circles, engaged and excited about learning. The students are taught to see the point of what they are leaning and how they can apply it in the real world. The focus is a healthy smart child, not a test taker.

Education World: Is Technology Crippling Student Creativity? One UK School Thinks So - 0 views

I found that this article may be helpful to this class because it explains how a school in London is not allowing any sort of technology in the classrooms of their students until they are twelve years old. The article uses hyperlinks to back up the claims of the school that implementing technology in the classroom has not shown any positive correlation towards a students ability to learn. This article is showing how a school is actually doing everything the opposite of what our class, INTC 2610, is learning how to do and it is interesting to see a view that does not believe technology integration is an integral part of learning.
