A well known positive consequence of using a wiki, is the abundance of data that accumulates about a particular topic. This journal also suggests that wikis are useful for participatory and sociological reasons. Studies show that while wikis serve to benefit qualitative research, they also encourage rich interaction between users.

TED is one of the best places to go to hear and see the future of education and technology. The videos featured on TED range in theme, from technology, to social issues. This is a great resource to see what some of the best and brightest have to say about our future.

TED talks are insightful and really well presented. They often give unique and interesting perspectives on a range of subjects. I could see myself as a secondary social studies teacher using them to help student understand the idea of looking at issues from a variety of perspectives. They would be good for content knowledge, especially for psychology, economics, or sociology.

I have watched a video clip from this site in a college level course. As a college instructor, there would be many technology related videos that I could use in the classroom as a springboard for discussions. It also would be interesting for students.
