JustGetThere | The media is reporting on the governments preparation for a massive vaccination campaign this fall for the hyped up H1N1 hybrid flu virus. Recently Katherine Sebelius, the Health and Human Services Secretary, granted legal immunity for vaccine manufacturers during the stage 6 pandemic declared by the WHO. Even more troubling than the new vaccines or antivirals themselves, is the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) declared by the FDA, which enables the use of expired stockpiles of Tamiflu or Relenza, and non-compliance with label requirements. The EUA authority will also permit the FDA to allow the use of "unapproved or uncleared medical products" during an established emergency.

The U. S. government has paid pharmaceutical companies $7.9 billion* since 2004 to develop the capacity to mass vaccine the entire U.S. population by 2011. Under the perceived threat of H1N1, these plans have been accelerated to include the use of a non FDA approved chemical adjuvant suspected of causing Gulf War Syndrome, circumventing the FDA approval process for this potentially life threatening chemical.

# Most mercury exposure in humans is either from dental amalgams or fish consumption. Each contains distinct types of mercury. Humans also process each differently and have different tolerances for them. ELEMENTAL MERCURY: Dental amalgams contain pure mercury, which emits vapors. Mercury vapor enters the body through the lungs, and 80 percent of inhaled vapors are absorbed. Elemental mercury that happens to be swallowed quickly passes through the body, as "negligible" amounts are absorbed through the digestive system. # METHYLMERCURY: This is a type of "organic" mercury that's combined with other molecules, usually through bacterial action, to form a compound called methylmercury. In this form, mercury is easily absorbed in the digestive system. Methylmercury is found in most fish at varying levels, depending upon the type of fish and its age. Most methylmercury exposure is through fish consumption, and it's considered more toxic than mercury vapor.
