Trade4target : GDP growth at 5.3% in the second quarter Indian economy has grown at 5.3 percent in the second quarter of the fiscal year as against 5.7 percent in the first three quarters and 5.2 percent on a year-on-year basis, the Central Statistics Office data revealed on Friday. The GDP grew at 5.5 percent against 4.9 percent in the first half of the fiscal year-on-year.

Gold is trading with a gain of 0.3 percent at Rs 26900. Silver climbed up 0.5 percent and trading at Rs 37200. Copper is trading with 0.3 percent weakness at Rs 353.4 . Nickel fells 0.2 percent and trading at Rs 940. Lead & zinc has a weakness of 0.4 and 0.3 percent.

What a week! When we started this week, the Russian bear was all set to attack Ukraine, while experts all over the world were speculating what it will do next. In a remarkable move, Russia declared a "special military operation" in Ukraine & started the biggest war in Europe since World War II. The threat of a looming war had caused stock markets to remain volatile through the past weeks. As the war has begun, the benchmark indices plunged to a deep low however they made a sharp recovery on Friday.After a week of volatility Nifty ended the week 618 points lower (-3.58%) at 16,658.40. Sensex had plunged to a low of 54,439 points only to end the week at 55,858 1,974 points lower (- 3.41%) than the last Friday's close. Bank Nifty ended the week at 36,430 down 1,168 points from last week's closing a net fall of 3.11% after recovering from a dip below 35,000 points.

Midcap and Smallcap stocks have buying trend. * CNX Midcap index grew 0.25 per cent and BSE Smallcap index has gained 0.3 percent. * FMCG and metal stocks have selling pressure. * BSE FMCG and metal indices declined by more than 1 per cent. * Oil & gas, realty and technology stocks have buying trend. * Sensex fell 129 points or 0.5 per cent and is trading at a level of 27828. * Nifty fell 27 points or 0.3 per cent and is trading at 8432 levels.
