  When I began this course I was really hesitant even opposed to ICT in classrooms. After researching and watching videos such as this I'm starting to realise the benefits especially in education! "Just how often opportunities are lost to students when no accessible media is provide for them" Similarly so many opportunities are lost when the teacher doesn't know or understand how to use the ICTs properly!! I'm beginning to learn how much they can enhance the educational experience for individuals. I really liked the visual tool that enabled the boy with vision impairment to read. ICTs are breaking down so many barriers and making education so accessible for people with disabilities, which is great news for teachers! The teachers on the video all rave about how great DCMP is and how much it is enhancing the learning. "Provide equal access to communication and learning... accessible media to be an integral tool in the teaching and learning process for all stakeholders in the learning community." I now see ICT as a tool in learning, not a finished product.
