iPhones, Nintendos and Kindles - devices synonymous with "fun" - are taking a new role in the classroom, thanks to a new trend in education called Bring Your Own Technology - or BYOT.

You've heard the buzz word - curation - being thrown around like it's a gadget we all know how to work. In reality, good content curation isn't as simple as pushing a share button. It's actually a combination of finding great content and following some simple best practices on how to successfully share that content.

There are news stories and web articles about reverse instruction, or 'flipping the classroom', published just about every day lately. Here's 15 news stories from the last 4 weeks focused on this instructional technology phenomenon. Many of these articles mention 'the flip' in their title (and for every one of these, there have been one or two additional articles that discuss the concept).

Google Search Education is another great educational resource from Google. The site has lesson plans and even live training to help students, and teachers, learn how to search for academic sources, as well as develop critical and independent thinking skills.
