Welcome to Part Four of  this four part series devoted to bringing curriculum to the digital era. In this series of posts I have walked you through ten practical steps I have found helpful in transforming yesterday's lessons into 21st century digital treasures! In this last post of the series I bring you some amazing resources and a document you will want to download and use in your planning.

The "flipped classroom" was being discussed in social lounges, in conference sessions, on the exhibit floor, on the hashtag and even at dinner. People wanted to know what it was, what it wasn't, how it's done and why it works. Others wanted to sing its praises and often included a vignette about how it works in their classroom and how it transformed learning for their students. Still others railed that the model is nothing transformative at all and that it still emphasizes sage-on-the-stage direct instruction rather than student-centered learning. I engaged in a few of these discussions offline and online, and while I'm still on the fence about my feelings toward the model, I can offer some insight and interpretation."

Although most agreed on two of the ideas that I shared, there was a large contingent of educators that argued regarding the "flip" and are very passionate about what it can do for the classroom (one even referred to me as a "nut" for even suggesting this!)."

We have over 100 apps on our school iPads and introduce our students according to age level to a variety of them, but the focus of the use of the devices NEEDS to remain primarily as a tool for: exposing students to skills, characteristic of a "modern learner" critical thinking personal learning transformative learning workflow fluency anytime/anywhere/anyhow creating
