The Digital Literacy Portal is the "public face" of an international movement focused on promoting  Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Literacy and Digital Literacy.  This website provides a rich global resource and collaborative environment for dissemination of ICT Literacy and Digital Literacy materials, interactive discussions, research information, and international dialogue.

This page collates resources for conducting a baseline review of digital literacy at an institutional level, as carried out by the 12 institutional projects and 10 professional associations of the JISC Developing Digital Literacies (DDL) programme. These materials are freely available to other institutions and professional bodies for repurposing and reuse.

There are many resources available to help support schools to teach pupils to be responsible users of the Internet and to educate pupils to be as safe as possible when using online tools.  Here are some resources to support teaching digital literacy:

iKeepSafe is dedicated to the education of families on how to stay safe online. That's why we've teamed up with Google to develop curriculum that educators can use in the classroom to teach what it means to be a responsible digital citizen. The curriculum is designed to be interactive, discussion filled and allow students to learn through hands-on and scenario activities. Each workshop contains a resource booklet for both educators and students that can be downloaded in PDF form, presentations to accompany the lesson and animated videos to help frame the conversation.
