This is a tool I used to play in the classroom, there are thousands of quizes created but the best of all it's that i can create my own, even recycling other's questions. It is a nice way to promote competition among students, and to motivate them to seld evaluate their knowledge.
I learned about this during the shut down. I created some times table quizzes and it was great because you can ask questions in a variety of ways. Audio Questions, pictures or written. Great tool, and the self marking and statistics provided are very helpful.
You can crop a video, add your voice, embed quizzes and upload your video. This is a great tool to edit any video you locate online. Easy to use as well.
Socrative lets teachers engage and assess their students with educational activities on tablets, laptops and smartphones. Through the use of real time questioning, instant result aggregation and visualization, teachers can gauge the whole class' current level of understanding. Socrative saves teachers time so the class can further collaborate, discuss, extend and grow as a community of learners.
Socrative is a fun way to engage students with either polls or quizzes. I use it for vocabulary instruction primarily but if they have a device it makes it easier for them to all participate.
I have used this game a lot in secondary/middle schools to check the pupils understanding of a certain topic. The pupils have to set up their own questions, and also provide the correct answer and several false ones. The pupils enjoy it because 'They think they are just making up a game', when in fact you can look at what they are setting up and in they indeed have the knowledge to do this.
I have only used this in Year 5/6 in terms of primary school and I would probably recommended for that age group upwards.
