The Brazilian schools most of the time, the computer lab where children have to share computers (usually 2:1). The result is not positive and not negative, butbecomes a difficulty in maintaining the child in front of the computer even if it is for a few minutes.

    Hi,

Here in Malaysia, at our school, we have moved away from using a computer lab. We wanted to integrate ICT into the class more, rather than it being seen as a stand alone subject.

We now have a laptop trolley that moves from class to class. We are currently building into our school plan a laptop trolley per year group. The debate has come up about whether we should move to 1:1 - it's an ongoing, heated discussion!

Here in Argentina federal government launched a popular program to supply all the primary and secondary students with a Netbook. Years later numbers show education has been deteriorating increasingly and the role of the 1:1 model is still an open question. Can chidren take the computer home? How responsible are the students on a free device? Are they using it solely for homework or something else?
