Summary:
In Arizona, the rate of child abuse claims and reports to Child Protective Services (CPS) have been steadily increasing. The main issue with the CPS is that there are not enough workers to keep up with the claims. As more people get hired, more people quit. There are kids waiting for assistance or placement in foster care for over 60 days, which is unheard of in this profession. The government, specifically the governor, have been slow to pass laws and verify funding that would allow the CPS to do what is needed.
