Another great source for learning about apps.

Through this Java Applet, it is now possible to share your screen with any computer or device. It could be incredibly useful for demonstrating a technique in a 1:1 setting.

This note taking app includes multiple pen and highlighter tools and functions much like a paper notebook. For $5.99, it offers a lot of organizational and editing tools. Additionally, Noteshelf exports notes as PDF or image files to either Evernote or Dropbox.

Much like Zamzar, this web site converts files between formats. Could be a great way to create ePubs for students.

In the past, we've looked at both Evernote and StudyBlue. Thanks to Richard Byrne for showing us how the two can work together!

This google spreadsheet from the Texas Computer Education Association is a color-coded list of apps by grade level and content area.

Though this is not necessarily a post specific to the iPad, many of the suggested resources either have apps or can be used on the iPad via a web browser. There are some interesting concepts for ELL/ESL or even foreign language learning.

This is an interesting app that seems to be a cross between Fotobabble and Animoto. The idea is that you can record ambient sound while taking pictures in order to create a short video. Could be an interesting way to document field trips or create a digital story.

This article from the Langwitches Blog recommends 10 apps for achieving iPad fluency.

Tech directors have been struggling with managing large numbers of iOS devices in their schools since the iPad bandwagon got rolling. With the iPad3 announcement, Apple also rolled out the new Apple Configurator to replace the previously existing iPhone Configurator that they recommended for also managing iPads. This app comes free for any Mac running OSX Lion and can be downloaded from the App Store.

Though an older post, this is still a good starting point for integrating QR codes into the classroom. The Mobile Native is a great blog for integrating mobile devices and focuses on younger students.

This is a great YouTube channel that features tutorials on useful apps for education.

The Audio Memos app, mentioned here at Free Technology for Teachers, is a great audio recording option. The Free version is a bit limited, but the Pro version ($9.99) includes editing tools.
