Since the end of apartheid, South Africa made a policy that at least 50% of the professional sports team must be colored. The article says that some teams have failed to meet this requirement.

This connects to the issues of the activity because the article describes how white people in South Africa are still dominating most of the land. This still occurs even 20 years after apartheid.

This relates because again more violence is being taken, but now in the hands of Laurent Kabila's, Joseph.

This article/ video describe how this man, Marc-Antoine Vumilia, was sent to jail/ death for being convicted in plotting the assassination of President Kabila but later escaped. This relates because in the previous articles it describes how he ruled and basically brought more violence to the DRC rather than ending the violence and stabilize the government, which led to his assassination.

Barack is going to nominate an ambassador of Somalia, the first time in 20 years. The goal is to increase security in Somalia which would contribute to the country's political and economic development.

This relates because here we see more problems with white farmers from Britain and black Zimbabweans in relation to farming.

The president of the country continues to support black reclamation of the land, despite the fact that white farmers are necessary for their skill and economic benefit. 

This article discusses piracy in Somalia. It states that the reason that piracy became a large threat in the first place was the chaos that remains in the failed state. While piracy has been declining lately, some believe that the pirates are only waiting until ships stop arming themselves before they attack again. This relates to Part D since it discusses the illicit activities that continue to go on due to the anarchy in Somalia.

The article mentions the group's acts of terror in Somalia and beyond, but says that the group suffered a huge loss with the death of its leader. After the death of the Al-Shabaab leader, Ahmed Godane, the terror group has announced its new leader. The group states that even without Godane, the actions of Al-Shabaab will continue as usual. This relates to our studies, because the Al-Shabaab is a terror group that is active in Kenya and other nations in Africa that we are studying.

This article discusses Robert Mugabe's views on whites and land reform. In a speech, Mugabe said that all whites in Zimbabwe should go back to England and that all those who oppose his policies on land reform should just leave. It also mentions other times where he has insulted the US and Britain, saying that these countries want Zimbabwe's leader to be weak so that they can once again take over the country. This relates to the packet because It mentions Robert Mugabe's views on land reform and his hatred for the whites in and outside of his country.
