The only way to unite Africa is to fix the Congo. This article discusses how strong, just government where its people have a say can end this conflict and fix the broken country. This relates to Part F because it discusses some of the continuing conflict in the region, including rape and corruptness, and offers solutions to these problems.

The National Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo has shown its refusal of all attempts to amendment Article 220 of the Constitution of 2006 that currently provides for repeated rotation in the presidency after two terms of office. The number of Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo doubled over the past week to 62, the World Health Organization reported Thursday, and more than half the afflicted patients have died. In the DRC, Ebola has been tacked down to four villages in one county.

Recently, the number of Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo have been increasing exponentially. It has over doubled since it first began. It has been reported that over half of the infected have died as a result to the disease. This year, more people have died from Ebola than ever before. The economy in these countries could decrease by as much as 3.5% due to disruptions in the industries such as mining.

The rebel group wants assurance from the government that the territory that the rebel group controls will protect the citizens from the FDLR. If they agree, all 2,800 members will hand over their weapons. This relates to the articles because because it shows distrust in the government from rebel groups and that the citizens still need protection and the government doesn't always supply it.

A large part of this is because the government is very corrupt. This is like the first article from Part F because the DRC was usually a violent place.

The legislation requires that companies track where their supply chains get their minerals to ensure that business is not going to armed groups. However, since small-business miners are hard to track, most companies now do not support these miners. This relates to Part F since it discusses the armed groups' control over the minerals in the Congo.
