This relates to our study of the Democratic Republic of Congo, because it shows that the issues in the DRC are still present and are still a long way from being resolved.

He stressed the DRC's policy of peace keeping and how the situation against terrorism is not in their favor right now. This article basically reinforced everything I just learned about the DRC including their terrorism and Ebola problems.

They have wanted independence since 1991 and they wonder why they are not given it after seeing South Sudan gain independence, and Scotland hold a referendum on whether or not to become an independent country. Also, it is believed that Somaliland independence could disrupt the peace that exists between Somaliland and Somalia.
