Children can create stories with dictation.  App records their voice, and then they can make accompanying pictures.  Stories can be emailed to parents, grandparents, etc.

A bit pricey, but it's a good app to strengthen fine motor skills.

This is one of my favorite teaching tools. It has short (5 minute) cartoons that are appropriate for K-3rd grade. The language they use and level of information is amazing. Subsciption needed.
