    Love the idea! I think it can totally work!

    "If the theory holds, researchers expect students who start off with an "A" to be more motivated to avoid losing their high grade than students who begin the year with, quite literally, nothing to lose grade-wise." I agree with this quote. It makes me think of my first semester of school each year; if I receive an A in the first semester (a 4.0) then I strive to maintain this high grade throughout the year/my entire academic career [haha]...Thanks for the article =]

    This is a great app that is very open ended - a bit like magnetic poetry on an iPad. A teacher can send out a "deck" of cards (vocabulary words, for example) and each child can sort them according their own categories.

    This is one of my favorite teaching tools. It has short (5 minute) cartoons that are appropriate for K-3rd grade. The language they use and level of information is amazing. Subsciption needed.
