I found this article to be very interesting because I've always thought about the use of hardware and software. I've always imagine why is it that hotels always have third party software solutions and now I see why. The reason is because it makes the booking experience feel more personalized. That way users pick and choose from a wide variety of vendors and enjoy the benefit of a third party solution without large integration costs.
