SAM is an Andro Humanoid Robot which uses Cascaded Computational Intelligence. SAM has 32 degrees of freedom. He is the first of his kind in India and 14th in the world.

This project deals with airplane using battery power and solar energy as their source of energy for more than 24 hours of flight. Using solar panels, they collect sun's energy during the day for immediate use and store the remaining part for the night flight.

The project was taken up having the differently able (disability with legs) in mind-such a person can use this three-wheeler to make a living. The idea revolves around the concept of modifying the driver's cabin of the auto rickshaw to accommodate a wheel chair, which can be held in place providing the comfort and the necessary safety to the driver.

HTTP does not secure its requests and responses. Using Man-in-the-Middle attack, it is possible to alter the HTTP communication, while it still would look authentic.

It is obvious and beyond doubt that globalization and the new economic policy have made tremendous inroads and ultimately changed the face of the Indian economy. Newer and newer products are being introduced day in and day out both customary and in tune with the end users' choice as well.

A National Level Technical Symposium SHRISHTI 12 was organized by the department of Civil Engineering on 18th August 2012. Dr.V.SUBBIAH Dean (P.G. Studies) welcomed the gathering. Er.R.Radhakrishnan. Secretary General, ICI, Chennai was the Chief Guest.

The Department of Research, Hindustan University, organized a Seminar on "Difference in Research Culture in India and U.K" on 20.07.2012 (Friday) 9.30 A.M at K.S.Moorthy Seminar Hall. The seminar was attended by research scholars, Deans, HODs and Research supervisors. Dr.D.G.Roychowdhury, Dean (Research) welcomed the participants.

Department of EEE has organized for a guest lecture on "Solid State Drives'' on 21st August 2012.

Hindustan University celebrated "International Education Day" on 10th February 2012. As a part of the celebration, 17 Korean students were conferred certificates for their meritorious performance in a four month certificate course on English, Indian History, Art and Culture and Business Studies for International Students(EIBIS). It's heartening to note that three of the Korean students who completed the EIBIS Course were also placed in reputed firms in India .

Hindustan Group of Institutions has bought Madras Eagles Football Club, a Chennai Football Association first division club and christened it as Hindustan Eagles Football Club. MoU was signed by Mr. Ashok Verghese and Madras Eagles FC Secretary, Mr. J.M Fernando .

The Hindustan Group of Instituitons was founded in 1966 by our founder and Chairman, Late Dr.K.C.G.Verghese. My cousin brother is study in this institution.

TVS Racing organized an event called TVS Apache Racing Experience exclusively for the TVS Apache RTR owners at the Madras Motor Sports Club race track.

Hindustan University was the venue where a portal " Maiam" was introduced to the public at a pre launch function by the celebrated actor Padmashri Dr. Kamal Haasan . Mr. Ashok Verghese, Director - Hindustan University was present at the function along with many eminent personalities drawn from different fields like literature, academics and the filmdom.

The School of International Affairs, Hindustan University organized a Guest Lecture on 23rd November 2011. The lecture was attended by the students of MBA and EIBIS course of Hindustan University.

24th November 2011 was a memorable and joyous day as the fraternity of Hindustan Group of Institutions conglomerated at Hindustan University, to felicitate Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese for being conferred the Doctorate Degree in Business Administration by Dongguk University , South Korea.

The first talk was by Prof Ian Wallace, Head of School, CranfieldDefence and Security. He stressed on the different defence- oriented programmes at Cranfield. He said a large number of countries, including those in the developing world, come to Cranfield for defence education.

The first of a kind choral competition hosted by Hindustan University was inaugurated by the Chancellor , Hindustan University. The first day of the preliminary round saw the enthusiastic participation of around 17 schools despite the on-going examinations.

Hindustan University staged their Christmas celebrations with grandeur on 16th December 2011. Hindustan Group of Institutions comprising Hindustan University, Hindustan Institution of Engineering and Technology, KCG College of Technology, Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Orient Flight School, National Institution of Management Studies got together to celebrate the festive season and spread the message of Christmas.

The University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various foreign governments and organizations for training and technical collaboration and consultancy.

Asian Rowing Championship The Association of School Rowing in Asia in Association with Hindustan University in "THE ROWING CENTER" Chennai from 28th to 31st July, 2010. The Inaugural Regatta was organized last year in Lake Rowing Club, Moratuwa, Srilanka. This year the competition was hosted by Hindustan University in the Rowing Center near Koovathur, ECR, Chennai.

One Day National Seminar on "Library and Information Services in the Digital Era" was organized on 21st November 2011 by the Department of Library and Information Science, Central Library, Hindustan University.
