As an initiative to promote and encourage students in sports the management provided a platform for the students of Hindustan University (Best Chennai Engineering Colleges) by organizing Bay Range International Sports Camp (BRISC 2011) for 90 students from 5th to 12th August 2011. The students were trained by 12 international coaches working with Athletes in Action, USA. It was founded in 1966 and their motto is to build on society's great love of sports and utilize the platform given to the athletes.

Hindustan University, (One of the Best Chennai Engineering Colleges ) offers excellent opportunities to its students out-of classroom experience by providing opportunities for personal growth through diverse programming, leadership development, and campus involvement. The wide variety of student-centered� strengthen and polish social, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Each School of the University conducts an International Level Seminars and Symposiums every year. It gives an opportunity for our students to interact with other University students and share their views and technical knowledge. Students from all over India participate in Paper Presentation, Quiz, Software Contest, Tech Talk, Mathematical Quiz, Dumb Charades, Crossword, Mathematical Exhibits, Management Quiz, Creative Expression and ADZAP.

Hindustan University celebrated "International Education Day" on 10th February 2012. As a part of the celebration, 17 Korean students were conferred certificates for their meritorious performance in a four month certificate course on English, Indian History, Art and Culture and Business Studies for International Students(EIBIS). It's heartening to note that three of the Korean students who completed the EIBIS Course were also placed in reputed firms in India .

Accenture Career Day (ACD) was organized by the Department of Placement at Hindustan University on 15 July 2011. ACD is a campus initiative of Accenture designed to edify the students about Accenture and calling with it. The final year engineering and MBA students had the opportunity to find out building a career at Accenture, Accenture's Delivery Centers for Technology in India, Accenture Global Careers Program, Training and higher Education Programs. The students also had an opportunity to interact with the alumni working at Accenture.

A Golden opportunity for candidates, students to attend Training Program in Automotive Engineering at Germany. Students are invited to attend a Training Program on Selected Topics in Automotive Engineering (STiAE) from 22nd January to 9th February 2011. It will be conducted at Steinbeis Transfer Center for Automotive Engineering, Esslingen University, Germany. The program is organized by Steinbeis Centre for Technology Transfer, India. S.Saravanan M.C.A final year student was selected for internship at NUS Singapore. He was working on the development of a Crawling algorithm for Mining Scholarly Presentations and Documents from the Web. Period of internship was from 1st March 2011 to 12th September 2011. He was working with the Web Information and Natural Language Processing Group (WING) of NUS Singapore. Professor Min Yen Kan of the Department of Computer Science was his guide at NUS Singapore and Professor Anitha S.Pillai was his guide at Hindustan University

Oracle OCA online exam was conducted on 19.07.11 at Hindustan University successfully for the seventh time. Twenty six students appeared for the exam and twenty two students passed. A Proctor from Oracle University conducted the exam.

Bruce Miller, dean of international affairs at Hindustan University in Chennai says that his students are seeking other options this year.

The objective of this workshop was to initiate the awareness on mobile computing and latest technology implemented in mobile broadband area and also opportunities available for the post graduate students through industrial expert.

The School of International Affairs, Hindustan University organized a Guest Lecture on 23rd November 2011. The lecture was attended by the students of MBA and EIBIS course of Hindustan University.

Asian Rowing Championship The Association of School Rowing in Asia in Association with Hindustan University in "THE ROWING CENTER" Chennai from 28th to 31st July, 2010. The Inaugural Regatta was organized last year in Lake Rowing Club, Moratuwa, Srilanka. This year the competition was hosted by Hindustan University in the Rowing Center near Koovathur, ECR, Chennai.

Department of EEE conducted one day seminar on ''Recent Trends and Development in Wind Energy'' on 25th January 2012. The seminar was conducted for the benefit of pre final year, final year EEE, M.E (PED) & M.E (AE) students. There were around 100 participants.

18th April 2012 student and staff of Hindustan University were seen gazing at a large banner placed in front of the Building Sciences Block and Department of Automobile Engineering. The banner depicted the history of vehicles that had been manufactured by Mahindra & Mahindra showcasing the heritage of its Automotive and Farm Sector.

Hindustan University celebrated ONAM - 'PONNONAM 2012' in all its pomp and glory on Saturday, 25th August 2012. The function was inaugurated by the famous music director and playback singer, Sri Sarath, in the presence of the Management, the Vice Chancellor, Directors, Deans, faculty members and the students of the University. The special guests of the function were the children of the New Life Vision Orphanage, Chennai.

A group of 30 students from semester V went for tree walk at the Nageswara Rao Park, Mylapore on September 21, 2012. This was a joint venture with Nizhal, NGO, working on various greening activities around the city.
