The Management, Staff and Students of Hindustan University had the privilege to meet His Excellency, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India, when he visited the University Campus as the Chief Guest of the Programme, on 6th January 2011, to deliver the Silver Jubilee Endowment Lecture as part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the University.

She stated that this Institution was founded in the year 1985 by the Late Founder Chairman, Dr. K. C. G. Verghese and the success of the Institution in the Field of Education and Research is attributed to his vision. She also proudly stated that the Institution has obtained prestigious Research Projects such as DST-TIFAC that is the brainchild of none other than that of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
