    • Insulin Resistance: Thyroid problems are sometimes linked to insulin resistance, which can make it hard to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

    • Emotional Factors: Thyroid problems can put a person under a lot of emotional strain, which can lead to stress, emotional eating, and weight gain.

    Thyroid disorders can make it more difficult for individuals to maintain a healthy weight, however, there are techniques that can help:



    • Medical Treatment: When thyroid-related disorders are effectively managed with medication, such as synthetic thyroid hormones, it is possible to restore hormonal equilibrium, which may in turn support or assist with efforts to manage weight.

    • Balanced Diet: The adoption of a diet that is both well-balanced and nutrient-dense and that is beneficial to one’s general health can help with weight management. Put more of an emphasis on whole meals, lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while limiting processed foods and sugary snacks.
