During my internship days, I saw many cases of people who wanted to lose weight but could not do it due to various reasons. When it comes to losing weight, there are many things which can help you to increase your chances of losing weight. One of the best things you can do is to "Not skip breakfast".
Breakfast has many benefits and there are many reasons you should not skip it as it can help you to reduce weight. It lowers your metabolism so it becomes difficult to lose weight. It is a natural weight loss food and there is no compromise on nutrition.
Oats are a great option when you are trying to lose weight. I normally recommend people to go for plain Quaker oats for their health benefits. Here are few tips on how to include it in your diet for weight loss-
    1. Serving - How you serve oats can be a big impact on their benefits for losing weight. More sweet or fatty flavorings you add to it, more calories you will add to it and more difficult it will get to lose weight. If you want to add something, go for the things which have good nutritional value and do not increase the number of calories.
    2. Additions - You can include different toppings to your oatmeal to add variety to it. Fibre helps us to stay full for longer periods of time. So, it's a good idea to include fruits like strawberries, blueberries, apple or banana to your oatmeal.
    3. Easy to make - Oats is a good option as these are easy to make. So, if you are in a hurry in the morning, these are easy and fast to cook. As it has highly soluble fiber, it can keep you fuller for the longer period of times and keep hunger at bay.
    4. How to eat - Use skimmed milk instead of full-fat milk to get maximum benefits for weight loss. To prepare oatmeal, boil one cup skim milk and add 1/4th cup oats. Cook it for some time to make them soft.
    5. Balance - Though oats are good for providing you fiber, and many essential nutrients but it's a good idea to make other meals of the day healthy too. You can start with oats with a fruit in the morning and then have a healthy lunch including chicken (If you are non-vegetarian) or tofu/paneer (vegetarian), a healthy grain, and a salad with some green leafy vegetables.
Again for dinner, you can have oatmeal with vegetables or something similar to lunch excluding grains like rice.
Weight loss is not easy as it takes a lot of planning but it's important to keep yourself first and change your lifestyle as only if you are healthy, you can take care of your family.
