  •

3D Cell Culture Allow Researchers to Study and Investigate Wide Range of Diseases and P... - 0 views

  •
A 3D cell culture is basically an artificial environment where biological cells are allowed to grow or interact naturally in all three dimensions, similar to how they do in vivo. Unlike 2D cultures, a 3D culture allows living cells in vitro to adopt all possible growth directions, much like how they would in the real world. This is ideal for treating diseases that involve multiple organ systems. In medicine, this is known as organo-evolution. Here are some advantages of 3D cell cultures: Unlike before, it is now possible to culture different kinds of cells such as blood, sperm, and stem cells in vitro. This was made possible by the introduction of new equipment called the culture chamber, which is used to manipulate cells in culture. Before, only two types of cells were possible to culture, monoclonal (which are typically the type found in bodily tissue) and plating (which are typically found in muscle and blood cells). In addition, the 3D cell culture can be controlled, making it more useful. For instance, researchers can use different types of media on different cells at the same time; this can help them investigate cell culture in more detail. •
The digital genome consists of a complete digital collection of DNA material that occurs within an organism or a cell. It's a simpler method to collect genetic data concerning hereditary disorders and is used extensively by geneticists for a closer look at potential genetic illnesses. It was first intended to be a tool of diagnosis but has evolved into a powerful research tool. The growing popularity of the human genome projects is a prime factor fueling the growth of the digital genome market. According to Forbes, by 2025, it's projected that 100 million genomes will be sequenced. Increasing funding for genomics is another major factor in augmenting market growth. Moreover, growing development in the field of biotechnology due to rising healthcare needs and increasing investment by the government is again driving the market growth. Additionally, the growing demand for personalized medicines coupled with the penetration of new players and start-ups across developing economies is also projected to foster market growth. Furthermore, the increasing prevalence of chronic disease is further projected to propel the growth of the digital genome market. Increasing Prevalence of Parkinson's Disease and Approval and Launch of New Products to... - 0 views

  •
Deep brain stimulation is a non-invasive neurosurgical treatment involving the placement of an electronic device called a simulator that emits electronic pulses, into the brain. These pulses are delivered to the area where there is the greatest need for stimulation, in the area known as the cerebral cortex. The purpose of this treatment is to increase brain function and improve brain function. This treatment is often used in conjunction with other procedures and is also very successful when it is used alone. Increasing prevalence of Parkinson's disease is expected to propel growth of the global deep brain stimulation devices market. For instance, according to the study, 'Prevalence of Parkinson's disease (PD) across North America", published in July 2018 in the journal Nature, the number of people suffering from PD is expected to reach 930,000 in 2020 and 1,238,000 in 2030. Increasing number of clinical trials for deep brain stimulation devices is expected to offer lucrative growth opportunities for players in the global deep brain stimulation devices market. For instance, in January 2021, Medtronic plc announced the first enrollment in ADAPT-PD, a trial evaluating the safety and efficacy of adaptive deep brain stimulation in patients with Parkinson's disease. Similarly, in October 2020, Keck Medicine of USC announced to enroll individuals in an international phase 3 clinical trial to examine the safety and effectiveness of deep brain stimulation to treat Alzheimer's.
