Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics - 0 views

  •
Overview: Many infectious diseases were historically confined to specific geographical regions. However, some now pose global threats due to ease of travel, globalization of trade and commerce and global warming. Government Agencies, non-Profit Organizations, Philanthropic groups and others are also funding vaccination programs for regions where infectious diseases are endemic and to deal with new outbreaks.. Such developments are stimulating research in and the development of improved vaccines, their manufacture and control. Supply Chain complexities and stability issues need to be addressed to cope with transport of vaccines to and their use in climatically hostile regions. Programs to address such challenges need to be implemented, being resourced by appropriately trained and qualified staff from a number of disciplines. Development programs for immuno oncology products also require staffing by similarly skilled professionals. Workers currently engaged in Discovery, Development and Manufacture of conventional medications , or those seeking career-change opportunities can develop an understanding of the concepts, constraints and opportunities associated with Vaccine products by attendance at the Webinar. Engineering professionals involved in facility construction, or repurposing can also benefit as can Regulatory Affairs Professionals or staff at medicines Evaluation Agencies. The subject matter is particularly suited to professionals who are expert in the various disciplines associated with conventional medications ("so-called "small molecules") who wish to expand and develop their skills by involvement in vaccine-related programs including immuno-oncology. Areas Covered in the Session: History of and development of vaccine concepts. undamentals of vaccination Vaccine Types Administration of Vaccines Future Concepts Immuno-Oncology Vaccine Manufacture Who Will Benefit: Regulatory Affair Managers Project Management Personnel QA Managers Scientists Technol

Porcine Vaccines Market is Growing Robustly with Zoetis Inc. Receiving the European Com... - 0 views

  •
The term "porcine vaccines" refers to the vaccines developed and used in animals, rather than in humans. The purpose of porcine vaccines is to protect farm animals from things like bacterial and viral diseases. The problem is that a lot of the viruses and bacteria that affect humans aren't infectious to animals, so it's difficult to develop vaccines against them. The two major types of porcine vaccines are Bovine Adverse Genomeopathy (BAG) and Meningitis. The former vaccine is more commonly known as the Meningitis vaccination; the latter is the Bago vaccine. Both vaccines prevent harmful viruses in the animals' bloodstream. However, they do have a few differences in how they work Increasing demand for pork worldwide is expected to drive growth of the global porcine vaccines market. According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the total pork consumption in OECD countries reached 23.0 kilogram/capita in 2019, increasing from 22.1 kilograms/capita in 2010. The rise in pork consumption is attributed to the rapidly growing population and rising disposable incomes in emerging economies. The Global Shingles Vaccine Market Continues To Grow Owing To the Different Initiatives... - 0 views

  •
Shingles is a type of skin infection that is mainly caused by the reactivation of herpes zoster or chickenpox virus. Two vaccines till now have proven successful at reducing the chances of developing shingles. One is, Zostavax, which consists of a bigger-than-usual dose of the chickenpox vaccine since shingles and chickenpox are caused by the same virus, the varicella virus. The other vaccine is called Shinglesvax, consists of an adult shingles vaccine which has been proven to be effective in preventing younger children and adults from developing shingles. If someone develops shingles after receiving either of these, they need a varicella immune globulin vaccine. The shingles vaccine is made from a weakened chickenpox virus and when used in combination with symptoms specific to shingles, it greatly reduces the risks of developing the infection. However, there is a possibility of developing more serious side effects such as a rash or muscle pain. Rare side effects include feeling faint, nausea, blurred vision, and chest pain. The factor driving the growth of the shingles vaccine market is the increased prevalence of shingles worldwide. Moreover, the rising geriatric population and the high number of launches and approval of shingle vaccines are also estimated to trigger the market growth. For instance, in August 2019, experts from the Université Laval, Québec, and Centre de research du Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Québec found that the Shingrix vaccine developed by GSK is very effective in terms of cost and treatment than the Zostavax developed by Merck & Co. The overall effectiveness of the vaccine was 97% and has a higher effectiveness rate among the geriatric population. Shingrix right now is the main competitor of Zostavax in the market. Vaccine Contract Manufacturing Market is Growing Rapidly with Moderna collaborating wit... - 0 views

  •
Contract manufacturing is a complex process involved in producing vaccine products. This type of production usually involves the manufacturing of vaccines in a single step. Contract manufacturers usually produce vaccines at their facilities; however, some contract manufacturers also service the field through the provision of workspace and by taking care of the closing storage and final disposition of finished products. Some contract manufacturers specialize in the manufacture of one or few vaccines. Others manufacture vaccines for a number of diseases. Technological developments in biomanufacturing and biotechnology are expected to drive growth of the global vaccine contract manufacturing market. Biotechnology has witnessed significant growth in the recent past in both developed and emerging economies. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), the Indian biotechnology industry was valued at US$ 63 billion in 2019 and is expected to reach US$ 102 billion by 2025, registering a CAGR of 10.9%. Besides, key biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies are focused on launching vaccines for protection against infectious diseases. Zika Vaccines Market Is Expected To Witness Significant Growth, Due To High Incidence o... - 0 views

  •
The Zika vaccines market is expected to witness significant growth, due to high incidence of Zika virus infection. In November 2019, The European Centers for Disease Control confirmed the first three cases of Zika that started in southern France. Zika is spread mostly by the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. These mosquitoes bite during the day and night. Recently, there have been clusters of cases of meningitis, encephalitis, meningitis, and other neurological conditions caused by the disease. There are also links to birth defects and neurological problems in some of the babies born to infected mothers. Such concerns are expected to aid in the growth of the Zika vaccines market. R&D of new products is expected to aid in the growth of the Zika vaccines market. Currently, a licensed product, in the form of a live virus extract, is under clinical trials. A Zika vaccine is targeted at preventing the complications and symptoms of pregnancy-related Zoonotic infections caused by the strain of Aedes species. Since it is generally associated with an airborne infection, it was assumed that a vaccine would be needed to prevent infection during pregnancy. Emergence of Covid-19 to Augment Growth of Seasonal Influenza Vaccines Market - 0 views

  •
Seasonal influenza is caused by viruses known as influenza A, B, C, and D. These names refer to the four types of viruses, and each has a different way of entering the human body. For example, an A virus can be transmitted through the air, while B is most often transmitted through secretions from the nose or mouth. C is the most commonly caught form of the disease but does not usually spread from person to person. Influenza A viruses are the only influenza viruses known to cause flu pandemics, i.e., global epidemics of flu disease. High prevalence of acute respiratory infections is expected to propel growth of the seasonal influenza vaccines market. For instance, the study, 'Viral and Bacterial Etiologies of Acute Respiratory Infections among Children under 5 Years in Senegal', published in the journal Microbiology Insights, in February 2018, found that adenovirus was the most prevalent (50%) among selected virus species, followed by influenza virus, rhinovirus, enterovirus, and respiratory syncytial virus. Emergence of Covid-19 is expected to offer lucrative growth opportunities for players in the seasonal influenza vaccines market. For instance, globally, as of 4:25pm CET, 2 December 2020, there have been 63,360,234 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,475,825 deaths, reported to the World Health Organization. Moreover, many people are getting flu shots along with COVID testing, which is also expected to aid in growth of the market. For instance, in December 2020, Tarrant County, TX, U.S., partnered with pharmacies at Kroger and Tom Thumb to help provide free flu vaccines for uninsured residents.
