Immunoassay instrument is gaining rapid adoption in the gene-based analysis especially ... - 0 views

  •
Immunoassays, or DNA assays, are a method of DNA analysis. DNA is the basis of all biological material, including the DNA of living organisms, cells, and tissues. This method can be used to analyze, identify, and profile various biological samples. The analysis of DNA has developed greatly over the years, due to the ability to conduct DNA tests on living people. The use of immunoassays for gene-based analysis has grown tremendously. Primarily, immunoassay analysis is used to evaluate gene-based treatments in oncology, cardiovascular, orthopedics, infectious diseases, and clinical diagnostics. Currently, the primary uses of immunoassays are for the evaluation of gene-based therapies in oncology and cardiovascular clinical trials. The analysis and measurement of immune parameters by immunoassay instruments are known as response curve analysis (RCA). The first analysis of RCA was done by Ward and coworkers in 1980, using monoclonal antibodies to stimulate the lymphocytes Subsequent immunoassay measurement models and systems have been developed to extend the scope of research and to make immunoassay measurement more cost-effective. Promising Fertility Rate Is Escalating Demand for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Market - 0 views

  •
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis is offering to help those that aren't sure if they can have children of their own or if they will suffer from certain medical issues in the future. Pregnancy and Fertility are two other reasons why this test can be offered. The procedure is done when the couple is preparing for conception by checking for any irregularities on an ultrasound. The genetic information from the unaffected parents and the affected eggs are compared to determine if a genetic problem exists with the egg of one of the partners. The growing number of fertility clinics around the globe coupled with the advancement in the field of genetic analysis is driving the growth of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Market. The increasing need for early detection of chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus is another major factor fueling the growth of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Market. The advent of next-generation sequencing (NGS) is also contributing to the market growth. Furthermore, the growing prevalence of gene-related disorders is further anticipated to augment the growth of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Market. Additionally, growing awareness regarding genetic diagnosis of a specific gene mutation among healthcare workers is again anticipated to foster market growth. Also, increasing maternal age and growing incidence of aneuploidy is expected to uplift the market growth in the near future. High Prevalence of Alzheimer's disease to Augment Growth of Advanced Therapy Medicinal ... - 0 views

  •
Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) offer a real and tangible hope for many different chronic illnesses for which there currently are no or limited therapeutic options. The science and technology that support these products are developing rapidly and therefore the products that are on the market today will undoubtedly continue to improve and grow in effectiveness and capability over time. Patients around the world are now beginning to experience the benefits of these improved products. One such product is Stem Cell Therapy, which uses stem cells from healthy cells taken from the patient's own body. High prevalence of Alzheimer's disease is expected to propel growth of the advanced therapy medicinal products market. For instance, According to the data from Alzheimer's Association, around 5.7 million people in the U.S. were suffering from Alzheimer's disease in 2018. Moreover, increasing adoption of gene therapy is also expected to aid in growth of the market. For instance, in March 2020, AVROBIO, Inc., a clinical-stage gene therapy company, announced that a second patient in the AVR-RD-04 Phase 1/2 clinical trial in cystinosis has been enrolled and has completed apheresis. Growth Hormone Therapy and Surgery Are Effective Options for Achondroplasia Treatment - 0 views

  •
Achondroplasia is a genetic disorder of bone development that prevents bone changes in cartilage (especially in the long bones of the hands and feet). It is characterized by the limited range of motion at the elbows, dwarfism, small fingers, large head size, and normal intelligence. Achondroplasia is caused by a change in the FGFR3 (fibroblast growth factor receptor 3) gene and occurs as a result of a spontaneous genetic mutation in around 80% of patients, with the remaining 20% inherited from parents. Individuals with achondroplasia have short stature. The average height in men is 4 feet 4 inches and in women is 4 feet 1 inch. Achondroplasia treatment may include medications with growth hormone and surgery to correct an abnormal curvature of the spine (or bone problems), as to reduce the pressure inside the brain in cases of hydrocephaly. Achondroplasia is known to affect 1 in 15,000 to 40,000 newborns. The average adult height of those affected ranges from 4 feet to 4.4 feet. In the United States, around 10,000 individuals are living with achondroplasia, of equal frequency in men and women and across all racial and ethnic groups, making it the most common skeletal dysplasia. Why Genomics has Gained Traction in Medical Science? - 0 views

  •
For so many years, medical science professionals have been focused on developing cost-effective and efficient methods of treatment and diagnosis. Genomics refers to the study of genetics, which covers how a single gene affects a particular disease to the entire genome. It is also an interdisciplinary field of research focusing on the genetic architecture, function, sequencing, mapping, and editing of human genomes. A human genome consists of all the genetic information that makes up a particular individual, which has resulted in many important advances in medicine and in helping scientists understand the genetic makeup of the human body and the environment in which the cells grow and multiply. One of the most significant advances in the field was the discovery of the Human Genome Diversity Project (GHD), which revealed that all people have varying degrees of genetic variation within their genomes. Moreover, the Human Genome Project also resulted in the first genome maps and maps that can help researchers determine where specific mutations have been inherited. Increasing Prevalence of Chronic Diseases to Augment Growth of the Biologics Market - 0 views

  •
A biologic drug (biologics) is a product that is produced from living organisms or contains components of living organisms. Biologic drugs are widely used to prevent, diagnose, treat, or cure a variety of diseases, including infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, chronic kidney disease, and cancer. Biologics drugs are derived from a wide variety of natural sources such as human, animal, or microorganisms by using biotechnology. Moreover, Biologics include a wide variety of products such as blood and blood components, vaccines, tissues, allergenic, gene therapy, somatic cells, and recombinant therapeutic proteins. Novel therapies and new technologies are emerging to create new biologics, which holds a prominent future for the biologics market. The market is majorly driven by the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases across the globe, growing capital investment by key players, and higher acceptability and increasing demand for innovative therapies. For instance, according to the National Health Council, around 157 million Americans are expected to have more than one chronic disorder by 2020. Moreover, according to the World Health Organization, diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases account for around 1.6 million, 9 million, and 17.9 million deaths each year, respectively.
