This article focuses particularly on health risk factors for women who are within this age group. This article goes in depth about research that has shown heart disease being the leading killer of men and women, but for some reason that they have not been aware of, women are less likely to survive a heart attack, or hear surgery than men are. How this influenced my thinking: This has influenced my thinking in the sense that I now know how many different diseases can affect women at age 50. There are many things that women can do to reduce their chances of diseases in general by starting to live a healthier lifestyle.
