This site is filled with loads of challenges which will engage students of all ages. In each game their is a problem to solve, and children are timed on how quickly they can do it. All games are fully interactive and don't take long to load. Just be careful which you pick as some are quick tricky. More suited to upper school.
create a lego avatar of yourself. Unfortunately you would need to do a screen capture of this too to save your image as you can only post your image to sites like Flickr.
A fantastic wiki created by the Maroondah school network. This wiki is full of lots of great links to websites covering all areas of the curriculum.
A great source for professional development!
An excellent website where someone has already searched through and selected the good flash files and IWB activities. Great for literacy and maths - whole class tuning in or independent activities.
Place value game. Students have a short time limit (depending on the level) to correctly answering the question about which column each number falls into. Children also have to correctly write the numbers up to 6 digits.
A great site where students can learn about cybersafety. Each activity that they complete allows them to build more onto their avatar - Budd-e.
Could also be used as a whole class introduction for a discussion about cybersafety.
