Let me start admitting here about Naked Harbour (Vousaari) not being an Artsy film at all. To some point, the film surely follows the lines and impact of Alejandro González Iñárritu's Babel (2007) and Paul Haggis Crash (2004). Aku Louhimies Naked Harbour features an interesting yet strong emotional theme of intersecting characters and plot-lines.The film follows inside-out look of 8 stories and their characters who is an American visiting the city on business, A junkie couple struggling to pay off a thug, A 16 year old girl who will go to any length for fame, a bullied Russian immigrant boy, a couple whose marriage is falling apart, a schoolboy whose only friend is his dog, A father who projects his body issues onto his teenage son, and a young single mother undergoing chemotherapy.Every character is undergoing some form of problems and non-acceptance in his/her life.  And at times the film is genuinely heart-breaking, particularly the story-lines dealing with children.The only story which was not convincing enough according to me was of the American who is on a business tour in the city. Yes there is a heavy amount of sex in the film but it's dealt in a convincing way. All the stories and performances in the film are outstanding. The story that really hit me to tears was about the Mother-Daughter relationship where the mother is undergoing chemotherapy, The 16 year old girl who wants just one shot to fame and the schoolboy and his only best friend which is a Dog.Prolific Film maker Aku Louhimies has extracted wonderful performances from all the actors and have presented a film that questions your inner soul at times. The Background Score, Production Values, Camera Work and Editing rises the top position while you are watching this beautiful journey of Finland and its people.Naked Harbour (Vuosaari) is not a film that should be missed. The film is surely a film that will make you discuss on a longer period of time even after you have left the auditorium. Two Thumbs Up for this Aku Louhimies masterpiece!

Who would not like to shake a leg with the dashing star of the Bollywood industry aka John Abraham? The actor who can give you shrills with his slight smile is one of the most desired hunk of the industry, but what sources say is something really unusual. Huma Qureshi, who has not been in the industry for long has refused to do an item song with John Abraham in the upcoming movie Welcome Back. The actress, who was seen in the famous Anurag Kashyap’s movie Gangs of Wasseypur, has recently turned down the offer to shake a leg with Johnny boy since her demands were not being accepted by the filmmakers. It is being speculated that the actress was not happy with the paycheque, but was really keen to work with John. A close source to Huma said, “The makers of the film were very keen on signing her for the song but other commitments came in the way of her chance to dance with John.”When Anees Bazmee was contacted for the same, he put forth both the points, he said, “We wanted to have her in the song but then there were date issues. Also, she asked for a lot of money and that became a problem for us.”Now John will be seen with six girls in the song. We think that the actor has become even luckier with Huma’s refusal.

The much-awaited animation project Mahabharat is set to hit the theatres soon, and the exciting news about the same is that Anil Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai are the latest addition to the list of cast in the ambitious film. While Anil has lent his voice to the character of Karna, Manoj has dubbed for Yudishtir's character. The renowned actors were recently seen at the Future Works Studio in Andheri and the film's producer Jayantilal Gada confirmed their addition to the cast. "Both Anil and Manoj have shown full commitment. It was very gracious on their part to agree to impart voices to two very important characters in my film," he said. Anil completed his task in 15 days, while Manoj’s work was done in just 4 days. "Anil gave a lot to my film. Despite his hectic schedule, he took time off to come to the dubbing studio for more than two weeks," added Gada.For those unaware, the film already has a star-studded cast of voices with Amitabh Bachchan (Bheeshma Pitamah), Vidya Balan (Draupadi), Sunny Deol (Bheem) and Ajay Devgn (Arjun). However, the makers are yet to zero upon for a voice for the villain of the epic, Duryodhan.It is learnt that the makers are planning to release the film this Diwali, but a clash with Krrish 3 is not in their minds. Gada said "No we're not going to clash with Hrithik Roshan's film, we'll release a week before or later, but in the festive season."Hope the film do wonders at the box-office!

Bollywood ace choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and his beautiful wife Jesse Randhawa set fire on the stage and stole the spotlight as showstoppers for Wendell Rodricks show through their scintillating dance performance at Seagram’s Blenders Pride Fashion Tour in Chandigarh. This is first time that Blender’s Pride fashion tour experienced show stoppers as dancers rather than the usual Bollywood star walking the ramp.Both Sandip and Jesse looked absolutely stunning in Wendell Rodricks creations while performing on the stage. The colourful and vibrant line of veteran designer Wendell Rodricks mesmerised the audience and the moves of the dynamic duo spell bounded the viewers.Sandip Soparrkar said, “It was amazing dancing for our dear friend Wendell, he is a very creative and a wonderful person, I am glad that both our opening and the show stopper dances were appreciated, Jesse and me are looking forward to the other shows of the tour.”The Seagram's Blenders Pride Fashion Tour '13 brought the fusion of dance and fashion with designer Wendell Rodricks and choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, Wendell’s collection was the closing of the Chandigarh shows.Wendell Rodricks said, "The show was one of its kind where dance took the centre stage and there were no modelling on the ramp, it was more of big party on stage. Jesse and Sandip showcased the collection to perfection with their outstanding moves. I am happy they made my show a success with their dance.”Seagram fashion tour began from Chandigarh and now will travel to different cities like Bangalore Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta, and more.

It’s time for actress Jennifer Lawrence to make a cameo appearance in the Dumb and Dumber sequel. The 23-year-old Oscar - winning actress was spotted on the set of the highly-anticipated comedy in Atlanta to play the younger model of Kathleen Turner's character.You may know that in the past Lawrence was heard revealing her interest in the original 1994 flick to late-night host Jimmy Fallon back in January. "I know every word to 'Dumb and Dumber,' 'Step Brothers' and 'Anchorman,'" she had said.And when Fallon asked the beautiful actress on the lines from the films, she came up with all the right answers. Shooting for a cameo was not a tough task for Lawrence as she is currently filming the Hunger Games trilogy in Georgia, which happens to be the same state where Dumb and Dumber 2 is being shot at the moment.The film’s actors, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels shared photos from the set this week dressed in full costumes as, Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, the characters they play in the movie. After being on the editor-desk and producing the last installments of Paranormal Activity, Gregory Plotkin is now coming on board as the director of the fifth installment of the horror franchise. Earlier, Plotkin had produced Paranormal Activity horror franchise, including the spin-off Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. Now he is getting ready to helm the forthcoming sequel Paranormal Activity 5, arriving in October of 2014. Besides his work in the successful horror franchise which started in 2009, Plotkin has given his contribution as sub editor or assistant editor on some big films like The Break-Up, Friday Night Lights, The Insider. Apart from that he has also worked as a visual effects assistant editor on Pleasantville.The audience is keeping a tab on where the fifth installment of the franchisee will head towards as the last film really upped the ante as far as the spirit world. Almanac screenwriters Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark have come on board to pen the sequel. It will be produced by Jason Blum and Oren Peli.Let’s see if Plotkin succeeds in taking the franchisee to an all new level. We hope the film churns big money upon its release next year!

Aamir Khan had to be on medication to keep nausea down for days when the actor was shooting for Dhoom 3’s song, Malang. The song has been shot at a huge height of about 80 feet and Aamir was to rotate 60 times in a minute for the same.Aamir plays the role of a gymnast in Dhoom 3 and this was required. It is the first time the actor will be doing a thing like that. However, the perfectionist that he is, the actor willingly took it up without complaints and wanted to do it just the right way. It took the team about 15 days to complete the shoot of the song and Aamir Khan was on medication for those many days. The medication was to help him keep nausea down. As he was at a huge height, taking turns, it is human to feel nauseated.Also to make sure all is well, the makers of the movie specially called a doctor, who works with gymnasts, to be on the sets to help Aamir. Dhoom 3 is a high on energy song. In terms of scale or budgets it is going to be massive. The song is around the central theme of gymnastic and will have 200 dancers in the frame.Spokesperson of Aamir Khan says, "The song was being shot at about 80 feet from the ground. To do this, Aamir was on special medication to be able to perform at ease without major effects on his health."

Young guns Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer upcoming film Gunday is set to introduce the real life of Bengal. It would be for the first time when film industry’s popular banner Yash Raj Films is coming out with a new pasture, Bengal and its customs.Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, it is scheduled to hit theatres on Valentine's Day on 14th of February 2014.  “Shot extensively in West Bengal, especially Kolkata, the film's backdrop essentially lends itself to releasing the film in Bengali. Besides, Gunday has another strong Bengali connect as Bappi da has given music and this is the first time that YRF and Bappi da have come together,” said a spokesperson.The coveted banner release Calcutta's most turbulent times of the 70's and this is at the soul of the film with the characters seeped in the culture of that time. The shooting of the film was done in Kolkata and some parts at Durgapur and Raniganj. According to sources, the film's story is based on the lives of two small time thieves who later get involved in the coal mafia. “The plans for releasing the film also in Bengali was finalised at the pre-production stage,” added sources.YRF plans to release the teaser poster and teaser trailer in Bengali this week.

Entire B-town is gung-ho about the recently released trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming directorial Ramleela. They all have good things to say about the way the film has been picturised, and it is very much visible in the trailer.The chemistry between the lead pair, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is cracking, and it has already become the talk of the town.Amitabh Bachchan said on a social networking site, "Saw trailer of Ramleela...stunning! The colours, the passion, the Deepika...!!" On the other side, Deepika’s Happy New Year director, Farah Khan said, "The trailer is fabulous. Deepika looks fantastic; the chemistry between her and Ranveer looks good. The film seems to bring back the memories of Sanjay's previous films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas. It looks very happy and colourful."Bhansali is over cloud nine hearing the appreciation coming his way. Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman, who is most remembered for his role as Wolverine, may quit the quit the franchise soon, as he says that playing the character has been very compelling for him. It has been for a decade since Jackman has been playing the heroic mutant.Recently he spoke in length about his thoughts on reprising the iconic role. "Great parts always outgrow the actors that play them. If you forget that, it`s at your own peril. They are working on it now, and it would have to be very compelling for me to do it again. I`ve been doing it for 10 years," he said.On the idea of switching comic book characters or doing a crossover, the 44-year-old, said, "The great thing about comic books is that they threw Batman in with Wolverine or Spiderman. I have people ask me all the time, `Do you think Spider-Man can beat Wolverine?` It`s part of the DNA."He was speaking at the Spain film festival, where he had accompanied director Denis Villeneuve to promote his new movie Prisoners. There he was to receive the Donostia Award for the lifetime achievement at the special screening of the movie on September 27."Humbled and honoured by the award. The British singer-cum-actress Sofia Hayat, who entered as a wild card entrant a few weeks back, is dropped out from Bigg Boss 7 house. Talking on her experience, Sofia Hayat said, “I had never watched a single season of Bigg Boss and had a very little idea about what I was getting into. But at the end of my journey in the house, I have learned a lot of things and was able to sail through all the testing times. It seems Life OK’s mythological show Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, which stars TV heartthrob Mohit Raina as Lord Shiva, has lost its charm. Earlier it was reported that the channel is not getting good TRPs from the show and now it is said that its actors are quitting the show.Puja Banerjee who portrays the role of Lord Parvati is said to have quit the show owning some health issues. Interestingly, Puja was featured in the show after replacing popular actress Sonarika Bhadoria. She played the character for four months only. But unlike Sonarika, who was shown the door citing some payment issues, the actress herself has decided to quit the show.According to the close sources of the actress it is get to know that Puja couldn’t manage to overcome from her health issues and dedicate her time to the show. “Puja has been complaining about health issues for some time. The schedule is physically exhausting for her. She conveyed the problem to the production house and they released her. Her notice period ends in January, next year. The channel tried its best to convince her, but in vain,” sources said.Now, the team of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev is looking for the replacement of Puja Banerjee.
