The star actress Sonakshi Sinha recently attended an event held in Ahmedabad where she had to experience something bitter that was hard to bear. She was promoting her upcoming film in the event, which was organised comprised of an all female audience.When she took the stage many women mobbed on the dias covering her completely, not giving her enough space for breathing. The situation worsened when a women’s elbow hit Sonakshi’s face leaving no option for her but to leave the event immediately. The actress who had maintained a calm demeanor lost her patience and got all worked up. An eyewitness revealed, “She got irritated and decided to leave. With great difficulty her staff could make way for the actress to back to the hotel room.”Apart from this, Sonakshi Sinha recently graced the opening ceremony of 15th Mumbai Film Festival at the Liberty Cinema Hall in Mumbai. She also visited sets of Junior Master Chef on Star Plus and promoted R…Rajkumar. Sonakshi looked gorgeous in her black attire and silver ear rings that enhanced her look. She also had a lot of fun with Kapil Sharma of Comedy Nights fame. She also promoted her film on the show and urged everyone to watch it.

Initially it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was approached for the item song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much talked Ram Leela, but the one who stole the deal was Priyanka Chopra, who has become the hot item number of Bollywood with back-to-back item songs in many films. The multi-talented actress says she is a huge fan of Mr. Bhansali and feels great to be a part of his project. Elaborating about the song, Priyanka calls it a modern mujra which has Indian vibes with a western touch. “The song is very different and special because I am a huge fan of Mr. Bhansali. It's a modern mujra which you all have not seen for a long time. It's a mujra, but modern. It's got Indian music and vibes, but still western and contemporary. It has got a different look, different form of dancing and I didn't have time to rehearse. I used to rehearse at night,” said Priyanka, who earlier grooved in songs like Badmaash Babli in Shootout At Wadala and Pinky in Zanjeer.Now, talking about her look in Ram Leela track, she is seen in a white choli and dhoti with thigh high slit, with heavy anklets being the only accessory. She flaunts a tattoo on her midriff. This item song is choreographed by Prabhu Dheva's brother Vishnu Deva. Ram-Leela features Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead. It is scheduled to release on November 15.

It would be a completely family affair when Shatrughan Sinha’s production house Shotgun Films’ upcoming film to launch his twin sons Luv and Kush Sinha as main lead role. The production house has also signed director Umesh Shukla for its second film that will feature Sonakshi Sinha as its protagonist. The belle, who has already proved her acting powers, is excited about the re-launch of Shotgun Films. “Everybody has their own production house today. Since we have in-house actors, director and producer, it’s all sorted. Dad later went into politics. As kids we knew he was in show business but didn't look beyond that. So it's great that today we three are reviving the banner. Dad's thrilled and proud of us,” Sonakshi beamed.Does it mean the audience will get to see father-daughter sharing screen space in the coming production ventures? Sonakshi says, “I would love to. But we have to find something that suits his booming personality, he can't do a film for the heck of it.”Shatrughan Singh, who is currently active in political services, was last seen in Hindi film Rakta Charitra, released on 2010. He has been out from film making and acting since. But his presence is quite visible in television serials. He is currently hosting Bhojpuri version of the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati on Mahuaa channel.While, other side Sonakshi, she is flooded with multiple projects. Her next films set for the release are Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullett Raja, releasing on December 6 and Prabhu Deva’s R…Rajkumar, coming in theatres on November 29.

Megastar Shah Rukh Khan was recently invited to the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), where he said that he is looking forward to take Bengali lessons from actress-politician Jaya Bachchan, as he wants to be a true Bengali."Thank you Kolkata for adopting me and giving me the opportunity to be here. I have been coming here for the last three years and I promise you next time I am here I will speak in Bengali so Jaya aunty feels I am truly, truly from Kolkata then. I will come to you and learn from you. So next time when you stand on stage I will be a true Bengali and welcome everyone," said the actor at the event. One may recall that during the inaugural ceremony Jaya Bachchan had said that her hubby Amitabh Bachchan, SRK, and Kamal Haasan are non-real Bengalis. For those unaware, SRK is also the brand ambassador of West Bengal, and he hoped that such festival assist in giving a boost to Indian films."Festivals like this one express collective happiness over life, I think. I hope creative interactions of this scale help Indian films reach the height that great filmmakers present tonight, and those who passed away, like the wonderful Rituparno, dreamt of for Indian film," Khan added.

Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji shared great rapport with late filmmaker Yash Chopra, and even though it has been one year since his passing, she is still not comfortable talking about him in past tense. "I don't like to talk about Yash uncle in past tense. He is a living legend and will always be there in our hearts and lives," Rani said.The actress was speaking at a function where the inaugural National Yash Chopra Memorial Award was presented to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar on Saturday. The event was also attended by Chopra’s widow Pamela. "She (Mangeshkar) is the most deserving recipient of the award. They had an emotional connect," said Rani."It has been a year since Yash uncle passed away, but the young generation will remember him through this award and his films. Lataji was down with fever and doctors had advised her rest, but she still came for the function. Film industry’s well-known director Krishna Shah has recently died on October 13. Veteran actress Zeenat Aman, who had worked with the filmmaker in film Shalimar, says he was a warm and hospitable man, who loved cinema and was always excited about the new projects.The 61-year-old actress about her coordinal terms with Krishna Shah said, “I met Krishna Shah for the last time about eight to nine months ago at his home in Juhu where he had a get-together for close friends. He was his usual friendly effusive self, looking after all his guests personally, making sure everyone was comfortable. Krishna Shah was a very warm and hospitable man. I had great fun shooting Shalimar with him. My god that was 35 years ago, it seems like yesterday.”She added that Shalimar was made simultaneously in Hindi and English and with international stars of the calibre of Rex Harrison and Gina Lolobrigida. “Off course, Gina later backed out, and we had Sylvia Miles instead. In fact, the film created a whole lot news and speculation even before we began shooting. I remember we were in Bangalore for the shooting in two languages English and Hindi. Dharamji (her co-star Dharmendra) and I were burning the midnight oil. When we were not shooting, he was with his English tutor brushing up his English dialogues, and I was with my Hindi tutor improving my Hindi,” Zeenat recalled.Zeenat added that Krishna was caring person who always made sure all of us were comfortable. “He loved cinema. I remember once when we met, he spent considerable time speaking of my cameo in Bhopal Express. He would always be excited about the next film that he was doing, and then the one after that... He would discuss the movies he wanted me to be in.”The film Shalimar might not have worked at the box office, but the songs by RD Burman play on to this day. They were like Aaina Wohi Rehta Hai, Hum Bewafaa Hargiz Na The and One Two Cha Cha Cha.
