Sanjay Dutt writes an application for 14 more days leave! - 0 views

  • At the moment B-town actor Sanjay Dutt is enjoying his time with family as he is on furlough for 14 days from Yerwada Central Prison. However, it is learnt that due to health reasons he is seeking an extension of 14 more days.He has already written an application and the decision would be out today and it will be taken by the Mumbai police, a senior officer from the prison department said. For those unaware, Dutt is facing 42-month sentence under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.However, he came out of prison on furlough by the state prisons department on October 1. Now his leave period ends on October 15, and he is expected to surrender on October 16 as furlough excludes the period of travel.Meanwhile, not only Dutt, but every prisoner has the right to seek extension of leave for two weeks, however, one must mention ailment reason in the application, as only then will it be considered a police report is sought afresh. Also going by the manual, only one extension can be granted. Sources from Yerwada jail said that they have received the actor’s application. "Dutt has also attached medical certificates with the application. We have asked for a report from police. We expect it by Monday. We will decide after we get it," the officer said.Let’s wait for the decision to come out today!
