I thought his site was interesting, it talks about different movement that have taken place in the world, end war, ect., once again I don't agree with different religions outside of christianity but I thought this was interesting (When I say I don't agree with other religions I mean I am not trying to promote other religions outside of christianity)
The editor of Mother Jones talks about the importance of independent, for-the-people reporting in a time of corporate-owned media and information. Essential for a united world brotherhood.
A fascinating, thought-provoking, albeit far fetched idea of world takeover by Illuminati-like autocrats. It is always good to be aware of world power movements, as they will only be stopped by the uprising of the people.
The IWW is a long-standing labor union spanning the entire earth, backing hundreds of thousands on their way to fair and equal wages, adequate benefits, and giving a voice to those oppressed by their corporate overlords. The solidarity between group members is an amazing example of human unity beyond borders.
This is not a credible source, although it offers some interesting looks at unity in diversity. Appears to be influenced by Hinduism. Beyond the "spiritual Oneness" is the underlying idea that we can realize a loving bond with anyone on the planet.
I think the conclusion of this article addresses poverty from a fairly guiltless standpoint, but I feel that the injustices done came from somewhere. The solution they propose, namely "The international community should endeavor-by strengthening the international
financial system, through trade, and through aid-to help the poorest countries integrate into the
world economy...". I do not think this is a creative or viable solution; it just doesn't fit the complexity and multifacetedness of the problem.
This site is a spearhead against the fascist party of England, the BNP. The ultraconservative platform is criticized for its intollerant and racist practices. These groups create dissolution in the world community.
Grameen was one of the corporate entities that we read about in class. Instead of using its capital gains to feed the upper managements' pockets, they redristribute the funds back into the peoples' coffers. This is a REAL, CREATIVE solution to a poverty problem.
Habitat for Humanity has gone global, and is engineering creative solutions to put the people of the world under a roof. Their programs differ depending on the region.
I've heard negative comment after negative comment about this video, but here's the deal: that display is the beginning of the people's world. A world where we are a community, working together for each other, sharing positive energy and strength. A lovely and inspiring clip.
Someone's blog about the threat of World War 3, the nuclear apocolypse, multinational control by banks, and the hope that the people will rise up. Pretty silly towards the end with the taoist stuff, could have done without this to make it more credible.
this is a calender that shows different events promoting world peace, I thought this was awesome because people are actually taking steps forward in encouraging world peace
