A virtual workspace for creating, sharing, managing, and collaborating on educational content. Great for project-based learning in a collaborative and controlled environment.
ePals LearningSpace brings together public facing web pages, a safe virtual workspace/hosted learning community, a robust web 2.0 communications suite (blogs, wikis, forums, media galleries, digital lockers, etc.) and secure classroom-to-classroom connections with the ePals Global Community of more than 600,000 educators from 200 countries and territories.
Within a safe, policy-managed environment, students, educators, administrators and parents can explore their community and find groups of interest to join. Custom policies around user interaction and communications can be set at the district & school levels to foster collaboration and ensure a controlled environment.
Here are three resources that I have recently found to be helpful.
E-portfolios - a PP presentation can be found at http://www.slideshare.net/eportfolios/necc2010. Helen Barrett, the author of the presentation also has a blog located at: http://electronicportfolios.org.

"News" review tool - Paper.li (http://paperli.com). This resource actually came from the Global Education Conference Google group postings. I haven't used it yet but I am definitely thinking about it for my upcoming "Introduction to Music Therapy" course. It allows you to follow a subject on Twitter and creates a newspaper style publication for you to read/review.
I agree with you John, I learned about the Paper.li also from the Global Ed Conference Google Group. I checked it out and thought it would be of great use for sharing info with my teachers and students. Whoever tries it out first, maybe we can share ideas and helpful hints..... I'll check out the other two items. Thanks for sharing...
