Video Section of this article: Great way to collaborate with an international class. compare and contrast the news story to see if it has been interpreted the same way or what can each student learn from one another and other's new stories.

Grammar Section: Compare grammar usage with other international classrooms. Help you learn a new language.

Speaking Section: Another great usage for international projects and collaborating. Love the debate idea... debate a common issue that could be interpreted different ways depending on what country you live in.

Great ideas for using wallwisher in the classroom. These can also be used with other web 2.0 tools if you don't like wallwisher. I added a couple of comments.

Here are three resources that I have recently found to be helpful. E-portfolios - a PP presentation can be found at http://www.slideshare.net/eportfolios/necc2010. Helen Barrett, the author of the presentation also has a blog located at: http://electronicportfolios.org. E-learning: Challenges and Benefits - a PP presentation can be found at http://www.slideshare.net/07181958/21st-century-presentation-3031267 "News" review tool - Paper.li (http://paperli.com). This resource actually came from the Global Education Conference Google group postings. I haven't used it yet but I am definitely thinking about it for my upcoming "Introduction to Music Therapy" course. It allows you to follow a subject on Twitter and creates a newspaper style publication for you to read/review.

I agree with you John, I learned about the Paper.li also from the Global Ed Conference Google Group. I checked it out and thought it would be of great use for sharing info with my teachers and students. Whoever tries it out first, maybe we can share ideas and helpful hints..... I'll check out the other two items. Thanks for sharing...
