Just spotted this in the COLT Spring 2011 book. Guess it's been around awhile. Looks great and it will take international characters.

Artlink - An Interdisciplinary program designed for 3rd -12th grade art and language arts classes. Students create art projects designed to reflect their life and culture. The artwork is exchanged with a partner class in a different country. Students examine and enjoy the art from their partners, gaining new perspectives into their culture.

This is a great vocabulary builder in French, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, etc. I introduced it in the lab and my students loved it. There are many topics and when you put the cursor on the picture it tells you by words and pronunciation what it is in the target language.

This is such a great website for my students! I was really excited to find this resource. I took my beginning French students to the lab today and they loved it. I will also share it with the Spanish teachers. Merci!

Verb conjugation web site in French - just type the infinitive and you'll get all the tenses (présent, passé composé, imparfait, etc)

Cool Text is a free graphics generator for web pages and anywhere else you need an impressive logo without a lot of design work. Simply choose what kind of image you would like. Then fill out a form and you'll have your own custom image created on the fly. You will then need to save it and upload it to your portal page. I have used it on a few of my portal pages.
