Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, post links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet. It is also where you can follow your favorite DJ's! They love to post questions regarding their music and chat, or even post tour dates and upcoming shows. 12th Planet is one of my favorite DJ's and this is his Facebook page. This will help me in my research because I can follow some of America's DJ's and see their progression to becoming America's new rockstars. This DJ is selling out venues and clubs across the nation and even over seas.

This can help me with my potential research topic because I am studying to see whether DJ's have the potential to be America's new rockstars. This website allows me to follow their activites and song potential.

The online library is a great source for people who don't have time or just couldn't make it to the library to get basic infromation on there topic. I find it easier to look for a book online and then bring in the information to the library to see if they have it or not.

Wikipedia can be a good starting place for research. As a collection of user knowledge it can sometimes be woefully inadequate but often  the references in the footnotes can lead to more academic sources on a topic.
