    When Alameda Parkway was being constructed in 1937 to provide access to Red Rocks Park, workers discovered hundreds of dinosaur footprints. These were found to include mostly Iguanodon-like footprints, perhaps from Eolambia. Carnivorous theropod tracks are also present.

    Part of the Morrison Fossil Area National Natural Landmark is Dinosaur Ridge. Morrison, Colorado, that is just west of Denver, is where it is located. Dinosaur Ridge has found very famous dinosaur fossils over the years.

    Dinosaur Ridge holds evidence to the past creatures that lived in Colorado. while the Alameda Parkway was being constructed so local citizens and visitors from other places could come and visit the beutiful rock formations of red rocks, tons of dinosaur footprints were found, mostly ones of the iguanadon. In dinosaur Ridge, widley know dinosaurs were found such as the fossils of the allosaurus. The allosaurus is a predator to sauropods.

    This website is very thorough in examining the causes and effects of climate change. The website stated that temperatures have risen up to 2 degrees across the entire planet, causing natural disasters, poor air quality, and destruction of wildlife and habitat. Although climate change is natural and there has been 7 glacial retreats in the last 650,000 years, the recent temperatures are off the charts and carbon dioxide levels are higher than they have ever been, showing it is linked to human oil consumption. Global temperatures, sea level rise, shrinking ice sheets, warming ocean waters, glacial retreats, and extreme events are all signs of the global warming that is plaguing the planet. This website confirmed my original point-of-view on the global warming issue because it showed how this is uncommon for previous climate changes and how the warming can create natural disasters.

    This is a website from NASA and it has differs videos, and articles describing some of the news that has happened lately with the concept of Climate Change. One of my favorite arrivals firm this website was the seeing salty shifts article/videos. It shows the changes that had happened recently in the climates color changes. Hope you guys enjoy.This also says that the carbon dioxide levels have been higher than they have ever been that can eventually destroy animal life and all of their habitat because there is too much CO2, terrible air quality due to pollution. This is evident that humans have started the pollution rates in the atmosphere. Climate change can cause many different disasters to happen in the world. Another really cool part about this website was all if the detailed pictures that it showed. I really liked the picture where it showed where there was vegetation from 2000 to 2010.

    This website is created especially for kids by EPA. On the home page, you can choose to read about climate change in any one region in the US. This page gives you detailed information about each region through maps, other pictures, and text. The website states that in the northern part of the Great Planes, average winter temperatures have increased by as much as 7 degrees. It also states that as of 2085, precipitation in the northern Great Planes may increase by as much as 40% and may decrease by that much in the South (including Colorado)! Yet another upsetting fact is that water is expected to become a major problem in this region, with the water supply in the Ogallala aquifer, the Great Planes main source of water, decreasing, while the population and heat are increasing rapidly.

Many people agree in the United States of America and abroad. MAny believe it is because of greenhouse gases from humans. Scientists are trying to answer some very important questions such as how quickly will the world warm, and what consequences will that have on certain parts of the world. The global temperature average has risen by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit over the last 100 years. NOAA said that the decade between 2000-2010 was the warmest decade on record. 2005 was the warmest year on record. There have been more intense rainfall and severe heat waves. Sea levels are rising. The Earth does go through warming and cooling because of factors such as sun and volcanic activity. The warming and cooling is partly natural and partly because of humans. The sun's energy has fluctuated but is small in comparison compared to human's effect. The warming is consistent with what happens with heat trapping carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide can lead to climate changes that can hurt plants, animals, and people. For every 2 degrees Fahrenheit raise 5-15% reductions in crops. 3-10% increase in rain which would create flooding. 5-10% increase in stream flow. 200-400% increase in wildfires in the western United States. Scientists predict that the temperature will rise 2-12 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100. It is not too late too fix climate change!

    Although emerging markets are a very large portion of the problem, they are necessary for any solution. Most books that talk about the environment has the West as the starting point. This is a very understandable starting place. For many decades the United States of America has been the largest polluter, contributing to the problem more than any other country in the world. Europe, has environmental laws to negotiate new and different solutions. Now Europe and the United States of America are only in supporting roles. Now the leaders are China and India. China emites nearly half of current global emissions. India accounted for 83% of the worldwide increase of carbon emissions from the years 2000-2011. Global warming started with industrialized countries. But, it can only end with developing ones. India and China are fully engrossed in growth of the countries. To continue to feed this growth they are building more and more coal-fired power stations, which is a very bad form of energy. The cities in China and India fume smoke and the rivers are catching on fire. Global warming will effect developing countries very much more then rich ones. A little bit because tropical and sub tropical areas are much more sensitive to warming and cooling temperatures. Richer areas can pay for better flood control and drought-resistent seeds that poor countries. William Cline, an economist, estimated a rise of merely 2.5% in temperature wold cause a 6% decrees in agriculture productivity in the United States of America. but in India there would be a 38% decrees. China and India are very vulnerable. New economic giants (such as China and India) will have to push rich countries to make more environmental compromises. Messrs Mattoo and Submaranian estimate that if China and India want to cut their carbon emissions by 30% in 2020, their production rate would fall 6-7% and the manufactured exports would be effected much more than that. Poor countries cannot handle the issues as well.

    Evidence for climate change is preserved in a many of earths of geological settings, including water and lake sediments and particles, ice sheets from ice ages and modern times, and fossil tree rings because thicker rings mean more water that years. Rock also provides intricate and detailed information about the climate. If a certain rock like limestone is found where it is a dessert than that means that there was once an ocean there which would effect the climate. There is geological evidence that when more co2 is released into the atmosphere it tends to make the earth heat and with that water levels rise. This is evident through the said process of rock types that was described. Co2 that is absorbed into tree rings also offers evidence of this. Overall, geology offers many different scientific clues about how to tell the climate of ancient times an places. Geology can be helpful to climatologists who want to compare data and prove their point of view.
