As of today, the Museum of the Coastal Bend in Victoria, TX is the first public museum in the world to accept Bitcoin (for admission, or store purchases, or donations!) 

I loved this article because it showed how the local food movement is working hard to be accessible to a lower income demographic.  

The in-your-face nature of the technology has touched a nerve in a society growing increasingly concerned about the invasive nature of new technologies such as wearable gadgets and drones.
