According to the stats, Twitter hosts the least literate users, with 0.56 percent of words misspelled (1 in 179), ahead of Google+ with 0.42 percent (1 in 238), and Facebook's 0.31 percent (1 in 323). Even forums attract better writers, with only 0.18 percent misspelled words (1 in 556).
Even more embarrassingly, the U.S. commits "spellchecker sins" more commonly than the Brits, who carry an only slightly lower 0.53 percent deviation rate.
